Guardians of Middle-earth

10/07/13 Patch Notes

Arathorn death animation fix
-Death animation sometimes not occurring has been fixed.

Target Guardian abilities fix
-If a target-centric ability is right-click cancelled while standing still and a non-target specific ability is selected after, that ability will no longer be immediately cast.

-Cancelling a Guardian only ability with right click no longer causes the ability icon to disappear on subsequent uses.

10/03/13 Patch Notes

•Target Guardian abilities fix

-Target Guardian abilities will no longer ‘fail’ or ‘cancel’ if the user attempts to cast and misses their target. The cast ray will always be active unless the user cancels the ability themselves or right clicks to move. (This vastly improves keyboard and mouse targeting)

•Implement Warning system for Your Base Is Under Attack

-We have added structure damage pings and corresponding screen events that have a 20 second interval; this includes all structures in your base. Teams are now informed whenever any allied structure is under attack.

9/20/13 Patch Notes

Localized audio – audio not playing in French, Italian, German, and Spanish has been fixed.

Changeable graphic settings – you now have the option to edit your settings.cfg file to improve graphic performance.

HOW TO EDIT: Go to your WBGames folder (default location is in My Documents), open the settings.cfg file, and edit any or all of the three following settings: TextureLOD, ShadowMapSize, and DrawShadows.

- ShadowMapSize determines the shadow map resolution; lower resolution = better performance “256”, “512”, “1024”, “2048”, “4096”

- TextureLOD determines texture mip level used as the base texture mip level; variables: 0 = low, 1 = medium, 2 = high

- DrawShadows determines whether or not shadows are rendered; variables: 0 = no shadows, 1 = draw shadows

Bot difficulty selection enabled in private lobbies - There is now an option to select Easy, Medium, or Hard bots by clicking on the portrait in the lobby. Public matches are still set to hard by default.

Target Guardian abilities have been improved and now correctly ignore non-eligible targets.

Matchmaking parameters have been improved to increase the chance of finding more human players – you will still be paired with bots after 5 minutes.

Command tooltips not displaying after death or after respawning have been fixed.
