Alright you should find v1.4 coming in as a small 7mb or so download. You can now bring on the end game at any time and I think it has made the game more fun. There are some other small improvements here and there as well.
v1.4 coming - Provoke Necro Lord
I've read through the feedback and the biggest gripe is about having to wait around for the end game to come. With the upcoming v1.4 you can bring on the Necro Lord at anytime if you feel you're ready. The Necro Lord's power is versus your guild rank. A higher rank = weaker Necro Lord.
Also equipment and training stat bonuses will now be exposed when you hover over the guild member's stat bar.
Please note that your v1.3 save games will not be accessible after the update because of the change to the core mechanic of the game.
