This update adds lots of new content: Mana spell/combo system, sub-regions, dungeon branching, new monsters, new equipment, and more

  • Mana system: experiment with different builds for gaining/utilizing mana
  • Sub-regions: each Act now has up to 34 unique sub-regions to explore
  • Dungeons now give you a choice for which sub-region you'd like to travel to
  • Essence crafting: dust from salvaging can now be used to make essences
  • New monster: Durak
  • Lots of new equipment
  • Lots of new enchantments

'Halloween' Major Update 0.6.31

This frightening update adds lots of new content and several new systems including the Act 3 region map and boss, item crafting system, enchantment reroll/upgrade items, dungeon sub-room system, new biomes, new monsters, and more

New content



  • Act 3: Progress into the fleshy depths of Gol
  • New Boss: Challenge the horrifying Teratoma
  • Dungeons now extend into optional sub-rooms with costs and rewards
  • Dungeon now spawn various chests: Bone chests, Locked chests, and Dice chests
  • Item Crafting system: create useful items and upgrades from your inventory
  • Enchantment upgrade items: Dice Shard, Magic Shard, Shuffle Shard
  • New monster: Pegman
  • New monster: Rotmass
  • New monster: Heaver
  • Weapons now each have a unique base enchantment


Fixes & Tweaks



  • Item tooltips now display the count of each enchant mod
  • Item tooltips now underline the base implicit mod of each item

Hello Threadbearers,



This update adds lots of new content and several new systems including online shared map structure building, NPC rescues, dungeon infestations, sanity system, new biomes, new monsters, new weapons, new enchantments, and more

New content



  • Map Structures: Build and repair structures, shared with all online players
  • Dungeon Infestations: Dungeons will now be infested by a random type of enemy
  • Sanity System: Adds more risk to exploring too long on the travel map
  • NPC Rescues: A timed combat challenge with great rewards
  • New Act I Biome: The Savage Bog
  • New monster: encounter the Scourge in failed rescues or higher level dungeons
  • New monster: Drek
  • New weapons: Leather Whip, Chain Whip
  • New enchantments: Damage Increase from Guilt, Crit Chance Increase From Each Nearby Enemy
  • New armor: Dancer's Armor Set, & several additions to old armor sets
  • Elite monster 'Follower' trait: stronger with each nearby ally

  • Forge enchant panel now has a favorite tag toggle

Fixes & Tweaks



  • Bosses drop lots of loot on kill, fully recover Sanity, recover 1 Guilt, and recover 1 Thread Orb
  • Sprinting no longer reduces stamina outside of combat
  • Tweaks to random item enchant generation (more stacking enchants, more fun)
  • Difficulty tweaks (generally a bit easier, enemies deal a bit less damage)
  • Fixed/improved responsiveness directly after resurrecting
  • Much better and more robust networking error handling
  • Starting a new loop (NG+) converts bones into dust for balancing reasons
  • NG+ soulbound items now display a soulbound item tag on their tooltip
  • Poisons/debuffs no longer trigger if the damage is blocked/parried
  • Fixed Fireballs and other damage over time triggering screen shake/hit freeze
  • Fixed bugged stats display on scene loads
  • Fixed some items not receiving enough enchants
  • And other minor fixes and tweaks

'Spring' Content Update 0.6.22

Hello!

This update adds lots of new content to the game including new monsters, weapons, spells, enchantments, and more.

New content



  • New monster: encounter the Guilt Fiend in high level haunted dungeons
  • New weapons: Lumber Axe, War Axe, and Sickle
  • New spell runes: Stone Skin, Quickness, Mend, and Savage
  • New enchantments: Thorns (Return Damage), Pure-Hearted Damage, Full Stamina Defense, Endurance on Kill, Passion on Kill, Attack Speed, and 'Weapon Against Monster Type' mods
  • New armor: Bastion Cuirass & Leggings

Infinite Worlds Ascension Update 0.6.20

Hello!

Today we're excited to unleash the infinite world ascension system!

Each defeat of the second boss, challenge yourself to a new loop of the world with your current character. All online players will share the same ascended worlds.

At the beginning of every ascension, your character and all items will be permanently saved for that loop. We think this will add a fun dynamic of optimizing your runs so that you can always have a good start on your next loop.

In addition, we have overhauled the way that chests and keys work. Each dungeon will now be labelled for a certain type of gear, so hunt for a key and then seek out dungeons that have the loot you're lacking.
