Introducing Portal HUB





Adds

  • New way of entering levels: Portal HUB level

    • Two portals currently available (Forest Of Hayr & Masons Grief)
    • New Portal is opened when completing Portal
    • Portal includes 5 random levels from pool before Portal Boss fight
    • When entering same Portal second time (you can, even if already completed), only unplayed levels are included in the pool, when all levels are played once, the pool will reset

  • Host can now enable / disable friendly fire in lobby
  • Added two new songs
  • Water reduces player movement speed
  • Weapons have now different movement speed penalties when shooting

This week we've been working hard to fix bugs and to add new stuff for you to enjoy.

Detailed patch notes will be posted when the update goes live, but in a nutshell there will be new levels with a whole new theme, some tweaks to existing ones, a new enemy and a lot of bug fixes. If you have been watching our stream , you might have seen some sneak peeks already...

So take Gunnheim for a spin today, because quite a lot will change tomorrow! We wish to hear your opinion on whether the changes have been good or not :)

For press and alpha testers

The Early Access release is only a few days away. This week we've been rigorously fixing and tweaking things based on the feedback from some admirably active players. The game has just now been updated for the release.

For everyone playing the game before and on the launch day, we give these three little tips:


  • For online play be sure to open port 27000 if your router/firewall isn't smart enough to do it on it's own.
  • If a host quits the game and you get stuck in a Loading screen loop just restart the game and start another crusade. Don't be mad!
  • If some other issue completely disrupts your glorious mayhem - just grab a cold beverage, restart the game and have another go. And if you would report the issue to us - you know, that'd be great!


Current patch notes can be found in the game files and future patch notes will be also announced here.

As an Early Access title the game obviously has a lot of things under construction. Our goal is to keep the experience fun at all times, and we really hope that if you encounter an issue not listed here just let us and other players know about it. We want to fix and add things at the same time, but as a small team it's a balancing act.

Also, all your craziest ideas for weapons, characters, enemies etc are very welcome. No promises, but some of it may well end up in the final game!
