It's been a few weeks since we've returned from PAX West and it's also been a good while since we've posted a news update on Steam, so we thought that we would break that silence with some awesome news regarding the upcoming Nintendo 3DS eShop release of Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure.
That said - and we'll keep this short and sweet - we now have a price for Gurumin 3D. The game will be released very soon on the Nintendo 3DS eShop for the shortcake-sweet price of $14.99. And shortly after launch (most likely the following week) we will also be releasing multiple themes on the 3DS Theme Shop that you can use to decorate your 3DS with. As an added bonus, the theme depicted below ("Gurumin Party Time Theme") will be free with purchase for a limited time! 😉

On a less fun note: some users recently reported a crash when starting Gurumin. It turns out that one of the under-the-hood improvements we made when improving gamepad support in our last update did not play well with all options in the advanced graphics settings. This caused some users to experience crashing at start. This has been fixed and we apologize deeply for the inconvenience.

Gamepad Right Stick Camera Control and More!
It's been another busy week here at the Mastiff Global Command and Control Doghouse. We'd much prefer to be chasing the neighbor's cat, napping and digging up long buried bones, but you guys have kept us busy stomping bugs and adding features.
[U] Control Camera with Gamepad Right Stick [/U]
By popular demand, it's here! To implement -
Open the "Gamepad" tab at the configuration screen and hit the "SET" button next to the input you want to set-up for.
Press a button or move a stick on your gamepad. That button/stick will then be registered to the input you choose above in step 1.
Make sure all inputs are set. If you see "----------------", it means that an input is not set or you've tried to assign the same function to two different controls.
If you are using an Xbox 360 gamepad, we suggest setting up "Camera: Show Left" for "Right Stick X Left" and "Camera: Show Right" for "Right Stick X Right".

WASD Added, Improved Gamepad Control, Other Dev Updates
It's been an extremely busy few days here at the Mastiff doghouse.
WASD Support Added Just go to the Keyboard And Mouse tab and select WASD from the drop down menus for the appropriate directions. We couldn't add the letters W and S alphabetically without breaking already set up custom configurations, so they are at the bottom of the list.
Improved Gamepad Control As many of you have requested, we've increased the dead zone, going from 8.6% to 11.7%. This should help with the drift issue. We also ask everyone to make sure that drivers for any controllers are installed and up to date.
Item Unlock Bug If you downloaded the game after 3:00am on March 31 then you are not affected by this. If you got your game in the first sixteen hours of its release then you experienced a bug in save data creation that incorrectly unlocked the item list, difficulty modes, costume and a hidden character.
We've released an updated version that mostly fixes the above problem. We say "mostly" because two small problems remain
It's still theoretically possible (though very unlikely) a user could experience an issue with the Maid Outfit where the outfit is unlocked even though unlock on it was not earned, or vice versa.
The item list, now correctly viewable after Normal or Beginner mode is cleared, may incorrectly display an item’s status (locked or unlocked). Only the list is wrong - the item is correctly handled in the game, and gameplay, unlockables, achievements and rankings are not affected in any way. It’s only an issue in that some perfectionist players (what some might call cho-otaku) may want to see a display showing they have every item.
We are working on a fix for the two above issues, and if we can’t come up with a perfect fix will also offer players the extreme option of zeroing out their inventory and starting over. Of course, this is only something we'd only expect the hardest of the hardcore to even think about doing.
We'd like to thank all of you for your support and understanding. We are a small company that put a lot into Gurumin and it's been a source of great pleasure watching the community embrace this game.
Greenlight Supporters! Your Free Codes Are Ready

We at Mastiff understand that there may have been some confusion regarding the instructions and steps required to be elegible for a free Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure Steam key.
When we announced the Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure greenlight campaign we promised a free code to everyone who voted for us, registered in the Gurumin group, and posted to let us know they had voted. But in the Gurumin group itself our instructions weren't clear. That left some users concerned that they wouldn't be receiving their free key.
We want to make sure that everyone is happy. So... We are awarding a key to EVERYONE who helped us get Gurumin through Steam Greenlight and ALSO to registered users who joined the Gurumin Steam group up through last week! This means that we are tossing the comment part out the window. We would rather give away a few extra keys to those of you who supported us than leave legitimate supporters who just failed to post empty-handed.
How awesome is that?!
