The fifth major update for HamsterVeRse has arrived! This update introduces a number of new features including: magnetic materials, building blocks, a revamped tutorial, Valve Index support, and more!

What's new???



MAGNETISM



V0.25 features the addition of magnetic materials to the game. Objects can become polarized in different ways and interact with each other realistically. This opens the door to a whole new set of puzzles and gameplay mechanics, some of which have already been implemented in this update, with more to come in future!

BUILDING BLOCK: MAGNETIZER



The magnetizer accomplishes that which may only exist in purely theoretical physics: turning an object into a magnetic monopole.
What does that mean?
Simply, it can make a metallic object magnetic with either an entirely positive or negative polarity. Configure the arrangement of magnetizers to drive the motion of objects in the ideal way to accomplish your present goal!

BUILDING BLOCK: MAGNETIC PLATFORM



Need to get somewhere inaccessible? Can't find a jump pad? Easy! Just magnetize an object and use a magnetic platform with the same polarity to send it flying!
Need to pick up a bunch of junk all at once? Just as easy! Flip the switch to make the magnetic platform have the opposite polarity and watch it cling to that junk!
You the player can configure the polarity and magnetic field strength of both sides of the platform to achieve the desired result!

REVAMPED TUTORIAL



Let's face it: the old tutorial didn't do a good enough job of preparing people for the challenges that awaited once their Hamsters stepped through their first Mission Portal.
But no more!
The tutorial has been completely redone from the ground up and now covers all the basics you'll need to survive (for a while) once you truly enter the HamsterVeRse!

DEMO RELEASE!



While it's not technically part of this update, it is being released simultaneously with V0.25 and includes all the same gameplay refinements and bug fixes found therein.
The demo features the Tutorial Mission, the Hamster Hub, and the Mission 6: Path of Fire, complete with bonus GOLD status puzzles, unlockable cheats, and customization unlocks.

- Complete remake of the Tutorial. The breadth of information and quality of user interaction has been greatly improved.

- Hair Cartridges no longer need to be collected in quantities. Now they simply unlock the first time one is discovered.

NEW STAGE



Caw Port



Caw Port is a new ocean themed stage that introduces a slew of new gameplay mechanics, creatures, tools, and replayability. With swarms of hungry crows crowding the skies and a terrifying sea worm prowling the waters, the Hamsters must take to the sea to escape this place and get closer to their final goal!

NEW ENEMIES

Sea Worm



The Sea Worm is a fearsome foe that can take out your entire crew of Hamsters if you aren't careful to avoid its gaze while out in the waters. But that doesn't mean you don't have options! The Sea Worm doesn't enjoy Hamster meat any more than it does any other kind, including fish and crows! Let that be a hint for when you find yourself in suddenly not-so-still waters!



Crow



The Crow is the same crow we all know and love, except the C is capitalized! Which means these Crows have a particular hunger for Hamsters! Fortunately, there are many ways to eliminate them or downright avoid them entirely!



NEW TOOLS

Harpoon Cannon



The Harpoon Cannon is the only thing that can actually do damage to the Sea Worm, but it may serve an even more important purpose.. what could it be?



Gelatin Gun



The Gelatin Gun is a versatile new Hamster-sized tool. Every Hamster can equip one and subsequently spawn up to 5 gelatin cubes. These cubes are buoyant, absorbent, and consist of gas-permeable membranes. What does that mean? It means that whatever is inside can still breathe, but it also means that whatever is outside can still see and still smell what's inside!

Early Access Update: v0.131 (Halloween Special!)

Hello everyone! The third monthly update is here just in time for Halloween! So far it's the biggest update yet! This month we get a new mission, "Magmanimous Escape", two new standard customization options, and FOUR new Halloween themed customization options!

But that's not all! Along with a host of bug fixes and other improvements, the new level introduces a brand new weapon, the Crossbow, which you as the Hamster God can use to dispatch enemies, trigger environmental effects, and make conductive links. Which brings us to the next major addition, power and conductivity! Now the game features power sources, power lines, and conductive materials, adding a whole new level of depth the puzzles of HamsterVeRse!
