$15,000 Fall Circuit Begins Today
Last month we announced the $50,000 Founder’s Tournament taking place in January at the Hi-Rez Expo 2018. After months of weekly tournaments, we’re happy to announce our first step forward for the Hand of the Gods competitive scene, with a circuit of tournaments in September and October.
Featuring 4 tournaments and $3,000 in prizing every week between September 16th-October 17th, the Fall Circuit will give a base for all players to jump in and become competitive. Every tournament will be run independently and open to all. This means no qualification process or points to earn, just register and show up on the date of the tournament and take your shot at the prize pool! Information on tournament registration and signups will be released on our Social Media Channels.

Genesha SMITE Lore
After rigorous celebration, Parvati, Goddess of fertility and love, washed the dirt and sweat from her body. It floated upon the surface of her pool, formless and purposeless. With a wave of her hand, it was transformed into a boy, her son, and set him to guard the door as she finished washing. Shiva, the supreme being, returned and found this child doggedly blocking his path. Fearing the safety of his wife, Shiva drew his sword and cut him down.
"This is your son!" Parvati cried. "You must save him!"
Hurriedly, Shiva replaced the head of the child with the wisest creature in the world, that of an elephant. Thus, was Ganesha truly born.
Generous, warm-hearted, and optimistic, Ganesha has assumed authority over the very thing his mother tasked of him - obstacles. For those whose hearts are filled with boastful arrogance, Ganesha challenges progress. Financial difficulties, faulty materials, and unhappiness plague their every action. But, for the honest, the hard working, Ganesha clears the way. A life of good fortune, bright skies, and joyous laughter.
Obstacles can be either placed or removed. So, to Ganesha all mortals pray when starting a new endeavor, that their path will be open and their future bright. That he may grant them success.
Only with reluctance has Ganesha joined the Battle of the Gods. Violence is the last obstacle the elephant-God would ever place. But these are not mortals that threaten existence. They are Gods, and it is time that Ganesha determined who should succeed, and who should fail.
Hand of the Gods enters Steam Early Access
Less than three months after entering Open Beta, Hand of the Gods is live on Steam’s Early Access program! Players will have the opportunity to discover, download, and play Hand of the Gods for free through Steam’s platform starting now.
This announcement comes shortly after a major content patch filled with new systems and features requested by the community. From Clans, to Deck Tracker, and an updated combat log, the team put emphasis on features that would give new players the best in-game and out-of-game experience possible.
“In conjunction with our community, we’ve implemented several requested features, and expanded upon the core experience that players enjoy every time they log in,” said Scott Lussier, Lead Designer on Hand of the Gods. “Bringing Hand of the Gods to Steam is a major step for us, and we’re excited for new players to discover their personal playstyle.”
The arrival of Hand of the Gods on Steam also introduces the new Starter Pack which contains a collection of 7 core packs and a skin for Ra, leader of the Egyptian pantheon. Additional card packs can also be earned through gameplay, and each pantheon offers a unique strategy for players to experience.
The Founder’s Pack will also be on sale for 25% off during our Steam Launch! Players will be able to jump start their collection of cards with the Legendary Gods Enyo, Poseidon, Freya, and Isis, along with 75 more cards from core packs!
New cards and ongoing balance adjustments are no stranger to Hand of the Gods, and you can expect the games 7th pantheon in the near future. Led by Ganesha, the Hindu pantheon is coming soon, and will feature new Gods, creature, and spell cards, making this a perfect time for new players to check out Hand of the Gods.
