This is an important announcement letting you know that we are currently in the process of having Hashtag Dungeon removed from Steam, as we are in the process of closing down Hitpoint Games as a company.
Hashtag Dungeon was a university project we worked on in our third year and we put a lot of love into it. We never expected it to make more than $100 but we surpassed that within the first few days on Steam. We learnt a lot during development and are really happy with what we made as students.
We've both gotten full time jobs since we left university and it leaves us with very little time to work on anything in our spare time, all the big plans we had to make videogames have kinda been left by the wayside because of the reality that there are only enough hours in the day. Running a business on the side is particularly hard... especially when it doesn't make any money anymore. Working in different locations in the UK and in different industries has also left us in a position where we hardly ever see each other anymore too.
It also seems that over the past year (at some point) Twitter changed its API in such a way that the game no longer works. We tried to fix it, but had no luck. The offline elements of the game should still work, but all the online elements are broken, and we're not sure we'll ever be able to get them into a state where they do work without time we don't have.
If we could continue to support the game forever, we would, but it turns out that once you leave university you get a lot of responsibilities on your plate and neither of us can continue to spin this plate as well as all our others.
Thank you for playing the game over the last few years. It was an amazing experience for us to have a game on Steam, to go to events and show it off and to see people playing it. Unfortunately, nothing good in life lasts forever, and videogames are sadly no exception.
We have been honored to have you as our players,
Sean & Kieran
Hashtag Dungeon 1.4 Update! Bug Fixes!
A new build was pushed live this morning that fixes a whole host of bugs and gameplay tweaks.
Gameplay Changes:
After many requests the way coins work has been changed. Now all coins and gems will begin be magnetized towards the player automatically and will no longer disappear, hopefully fixing the annoying issues players were facing.
Players reported feeling that the game was grindy to unlock characters, to alleviate this issue coin values have been approximately doubled. This in addition to the change above means average gold per dungeon is much higher now.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed the retrieving of dungeons which should now be much quicker compared to before.
Fixed issues with some achievements not being awarded.
Fixed graphical glitches and particle effects (Should no longer see particles persist after dying)
Lastly we would like to say thanks for the players that post issues, bugs, and feedback you have all contributed to make this game better and hopefully will continue to do so.

Hashtag Dungeon Update! (Version 1.1)
Hey everyone!
Based on some feedback (and a couple of post-launch bugs we've found...) we've added the following fixes to the game which should be coming out tonight:
The Plague Lord will no longer gravitate to one side of the screen for no apparent reason.
The Plague Lord will no longer spawn an impossible number of enemies at any one time.
Old pre-launch title screen music no longer plays when you try making a new dungeon.
The Mana Lords rock attack has been edited to increase it's optimisation. It should no longer lag out low spec PC hardware.
The Earth Mage rock attack has been edited to increase it's optimisation. It should no longer lag out low spec PC hardware.
Rock attacks no longer all play a sound on creation to improve performance on low spec PC hardware. Plus it sounds less annoying too!
We will be doing some more fixes in the near future. Currently we are looking at adding in-game volume controls and a search feature for the Player Dungeons room.
Best wishes,
Sean

Hashtag Dungeon Released!
So we've finally arrived at the launch of Hashtag Dungeon on Steam! It's great to finally have the game out in the open for everyone to play. Thanks to everyone who has stuck with us over the alpha and beta and is still playing the game today.
We'll have a few weeks of downtime (minus a few bug fixes and tweaks here and there) and then get to work on the first major update for the game. We're working on a bunch of new traps, enemies and nasty bosses for you to go up against. Far more difficult than the ones currently in the game.
The currently build has been tested pretty thoroughly, but there might be the odd bug here and there - you can contact us via Twitter or on the Steam forums about any bugs you find. We will try to sort them as soon as we can.
Also make sure you collect all the Steam emojis via the trading cards, they're pretty good:

Thanks guys, your support has meant the world to us.
