Esports Weekly News - METAL LEAGUE 9: Towards the end.
METAL LEAGUE 9 is coming to an end. We already know which teams will be in the Pro and Beginner finals.
The next stage is the Beginner's final, which takes place on Saturday, August 1, and will be broadcast live on our official Youtube and Twitch channels. The South American edition takes place at 17h GMT+1, which will be broadcast in Portuguese, with Chancellor and Saramantis.
Pro Europe
We have defined the teams that will go to the ML Pro Playoffs. In the Metal League Pro Europe, Skade won Stage 4. They drew in the overall standings with MSA in the total number of points, but were placed second, thanks to the tiebreaker criterion. The same teams that competed since the beginning appear in the rest of the list: ZXC123 and Bad Boys. Remember, we only have 4 qualified teams because the tournament had less than 16 teams in total.
Pro South America
In the Metal League Pro South American, Rumerus Bala, and Hati Blue qualified by winning one stage each, while the guys from Roadkill won two, so this way they secured the top seed. The list also includes Rumerus Faca, Black Bull, Rumerus Chinela, and BondKevinOChris. In stage 4, we had a very tight race for the last spot, up until the last moment, but in the end, the crowd at Rumerus Rasta managed to stay above Road Fury and qualified with just 5 points to spare.
The broadcast of the PRO Playoffs and Grand Final will take place on the following Saturday, August 8, also on our official Youtube and Twitch channels.

Esports Weekly News: METAL LEAGUE 9: The last qualifier of the PRO division
Metal League 9 is still ongoing, and this Saturday, weâll have the final PRO qualifier! If you are a veteran, there is still time to show your skills in this HMM Tournament! And youâll also qualify for the Weekly Giveaway!
It takes place this Saturday, July 25th, from 14h to 17h GMT +1 on the European server and from 17h to 20h GMT +1 on the South American server, and you can play on both servers!

Beginner Europe
In the European Beginner League, the Heavy Metal M8s dominated from start to finish. Fighting for the last spot, we had the Little Bois and Refacheros tied with 85 points, but by the tiebreaker criteria, the RFCS team - which appeared at the last minute - retained the spot. In next weekâs post, weâll run through all the teams that will faceoff as well as where and when you can watch all the action unfold!
Beginner South America
In the Beginners League of the South American server, the Malware team won all three stages and emerged as favorites for the playoffs. The last spot was disputed between Ninjas Malukos and Zombies OMG. Even with second place still up for grabs, the Zomg crowd was not able to compensate for the lack of points in Stage 1 and ended up not making the cut. In next weekâs post, weâll look at the matches ahead and give you details on where and when to watch the action unfold!
Pro Europe
The M.S.Anarchist Team came out on top of the stage for the second time in a row and emerged as a favorite in Europeâs Metal League Pro. A first, in this server, we will only have four teams qualifying. The other two spots that are still up for grabs are between ZXC123, Bad Boys, and SenslessMassacre. Whoâll make the cut? Anything can happen, so keep an eye on this weekendâs matches!
Pro South America
In the Metal League Pro SA, we have the reigning Rumerus Bala team securing their qualification. So far, all the finalists weâve had on this server have won a playoff spot. A shout out to Black Bull, who surprised us all by securing second place! This Saturday we will have the final set of matches. From 4th to 9th place, there are still many teams with similar scores. Who will qualify?
So, if you donât have a team yet, donât worry, itâs not too late. Go to the Teammates Finder to find players that want to join the League just like you!

Iniciante América do Sul
Ăltima etapa do Iniciante semana que vem. JĂĄ temos Malware classificada e Exodia traders muito bem colocada. Qualquer time pode ganhar a Etapa 3 e garantir uma vaga, mas a briga tĂĄ bem disputada pelas outras duas posiçÔes.
Iniciante Europa
Ăltima etapa do Iniciante semana que vem. Heavy Metal M8s jĂĄ garantiu a classificação em primeiro. AtĂ© agora temos 4 times participantes e todos estariam indo para os playoffs. EstĂĄ super aberto e tambĂ©m ainda hĂĄ chances de qualquer um chegar e pegar a vaga.
Pro América do Sul
Tivemos o ajuste do Matchmaking e isso fez com que a classificação ficasse muito equilibrada. A diferença de pontos entre os times do top 10 nunca foi tĂŁo proporcional antes. Os dois Ășltimos finalistas (Roadkill e Hati Blue) garantiram sua vaga nos Playoffs e estĂŁo sendo seguidos de perto pelas trĂȘs Rumerus na classificação geral. A briga por essas vagas restantes estĂĄ bem embolada e promete ser emocionante.
Pro Europa
Depois da Skade ter ganhado a Etapa 1, agora foi a vez da MS. Anarchists garantir a classificação. ZXC123 ficou em segundo nas duas etapas atĂ© aqui e estĂĄ perto. A briga pela Ășltima vaga deste Playoff de 4 times parece que vai ficar disputada entre Bad Boys e SenslessMassacre, mas como temos duas etapas ainda muita coisa pode acontecer.
EntĂŁo, se ainda nĂŁo possui um time, nĂŁo se preocupe, vĂĄ ao Buscador de Membros de Time para encontrar jogadores que, assim como vocĂȘ, estĂŁo querendo participar do Metal League!

Scheduled Maintenance and Patch Notes 14/07/2020
Maintenance is scheduled for July 14th, from 12:00 to 16:00 (UTC+1), to apply an update that adds full support to the gamepad, navigation improvements, bug fixes and more.
Version: 9.00.93
Metal Pass
- Season 9 will be extended up until August 11th (11/08), and Season 10 will start on August 12th (12/08).
- Season 10 will also bring lots of improvements to the game, as well as all the new content of the Metal Pass. Weâll be releasing more details over the next few weeks, up until the start of the next Season.
Full Gamepad Support
- After this version, all in-game menus will have full support for navigating using gamepads.
OBS: For this version, custom commands/controls of all accounts will be restored to their default. Remember to set them up again before entering a match.
Menu Navigation Improvements
General
- The âESCâ key now has the function of coming back to the previous screen during navigation.
- When certain windows get opened, the âESCâ key can be used to cancel or close them automatically. This is not applicable to all windows.
- In the main menu, the âESCâ key will have the function of opening the Options screen.
Pausing Matches
- Itâs now possible to pause matches by pressing the âESCâ key and clicking the âPauseâ option. This is an alternative to the âF8â key, which will remain available.
Player Information
- The screen with other playersâ information will now be shown by clicking the name of the contact.
Selected Button Highlight
- The highlight indicating that a button is selected is more evident throughout the game.
Metal Pass
- The âMetal Passâ main menu interface was slightly modified, to improve the understanding of the information provided.
Match Loading Screen
- The controls shown in the loading screen now change dynamically, according to the commands assigned to each function.
Inventory
- The visualization of Models has been improved, showing the available Models of a character one at a time.
- To change characters, you can use the menu above the Model display (upper part of the screen).
Spectator Screen Update
The Spectator screen was updated to provide more information about the matches.
Update Button
- The visuals of the update button, throughout the game, were altered to include its name and icon.
Emotes
- The maximum number of Emotes that can be equipped was changed to 4.
- The central slot will no longer be used, and the Emotes that were equipped on that spot will be removed.
Fixed Bugs
- Fixed a bug that made some elements appear incorrectly on the screen upon changing the gameâs resolution.
- Fixed some navigation usability issues in some of the menus of the game.
- Fixed some problems with some text elements in the Metal League interface.
- Several texts in multiple languages have been adjusted and/or fixed.
- Fixed the behavior of hovering the mouse on the Friendâs contact list.
- Fixed a bug in Black Lotusâ Weapon 2, where in some situations, the cooldown could be accelerated twice as much as it should upon reflecting an enemyâs weapon.
- The name of the Emotes in the Inventory is now shown next to the Emote Selection Wheel.
Known Bugs
- Some minor issues with the gamepad navigation can be noticed in the Metal League menu. They will be fixed in a future update.
- Pressing Alt+Tab while using a gamepad can sometimes make the mouse cursor visible in the center of the screen.
- Some navigation issues can be noticed upon changing menus too quickly using a gamepad. They will be fixed in a future update.
- During a match, the action commands/controls (weapons, for example) are not blocked upon opening the F1 menu.

Metal League 9 Weekly Giveaways
Weâre very excited for Metal League 9 and weâre excited to see all of you competing in our Arenas. We have made some improvements to the tournament for this edition, and we are looking forward to seeing the results. If you donât know what we are talking about, you can get all the details here.
To make the competition even better, we will also have weekly giveaways of in-game items!
To participate, just play in the Metal League!
Each week (stage) will have a giveaway for each league, for a total of 4 giveaways per week!
All teams participating in the stage will be automatically entered into the draw, and the giveaway will be drawn live on the weekly livestream.
Weâll be doing the draws for the South American Metal League (Pro and Beginner) on our Portuguese-speaking streams - you can find them on Twitch every Wednesday at 21:00 GMT+0. For Europe (Pro and Beginner), weâll be drawing the winners on our English-speaking livestreams on Fridays, also on Twitch, at 15:00 GMT+0.
