You can download it by pressing the "Download demo" button on our Steam page!
As with everything in Century City, nothing is done for nothing.
The ones that complete the demo will receive an in-game reward that they can keep even after the game releases!
Once you finish the demo, you can restart it as many times as you want.
You will get up to three rewards for your services.
You will find the gift in your basement in the following run!
To report a bug press F7 while in-game and tell us about the issue you encountered with as many details as possible!

HELL IS OTHERS | Release date announcement
HELL IS OTHERS WILL RELEASE ON OCTOBER 20, 2022 ON STEAM!
A List Games, a community first publisher and Strelka Games & Yonder, two Italian-based game studios, are glad to announce Hell is Others will launch on October 20, 2022 for $14.99 on Steam!
Interested players can also sign up for the closed beta, which starts September 2nd at 5 pm CEST / 8 am PDT / 11 am EDT on the Hell is Others Steam page!
In Hell is Others, you play as Adam Smithson as he does his best to exist in his tiny apartment, alone, high above Century City. His only companion is a bonsai tree, which he dutifully cares for. But like everything else in the city, his plant requires blood to survive. So Adam is forced to find a regular supply on the dark streets below. Players descend into the city to explore for resources and accomplish missions while trying to survive the night.
With the spoils of your trip down into the city, players can furnish their apartment with items that give them added perks or benefits while playing in multiplayer. Continue to water your bonsai tree and other houseplants with the blood of your enemies to grow custom ammunition.
A hybrid of customization mechanics and extraction-style gameplay, all set in a surreal, noir world, Hell is Others is a David Lynch-vibes game that features pixel graphics and a deeply compelling story. It is a slice of life in a nightmare city.

Too much time has passed since blood flowed to the streets of Century.
As you know, plants need blood to grow, and without your help, the City will face an arid period without bullets.
I know what you're going to say...nothing is done for nothing.
The citizens will widely reward you for your services.

July Playtest - Wrap Up
The July Playtest was such a blast. It was incredibly satisfactory seeing from my window so many Others strolling around the streets.
Blood has been spilt in rivers and Century City has never been so prosperous and flourishing.
The Notary worked tirelessly and these are some of the most interesting data he collected:
General numbers
2270 Others descended to Century City and we have reached 469 simultaneous players.
The Notary noticed that you seem to like the thrill of staying in town: the average time in the game is 8 minutes.
There was also a substantial increase in the current accounts of the Others: 2.5M Creeds were deposited in bank. Otis must have been busy, but remember that spending Creeds in the shops in town is the best way to use them.
A great battle between prey and predators took place in the streets of Century City: 9.1M damage ticks have been inflicted, which results in 9000 dead Others.
Damage Type
- 🔫 56% from bullets (from both Others and Things)
- 🪓 21% from melee meapons
- 💣 10% from traps
- 🚪 9% by jumping through windows (instead of using doors)
It looks like someone had a lot of fun with mines, grenades and baseball bat.
Damage Inflicted
- 🌺 53% was coming from Others
- 👹 40% was coming from Bots
- 🚪 7% was self inflicted (back to the windows jumps)
Looting and fighting in Century City
The Notary noted that some areas were favoured over others.
In particular, the three most visited were:
- 🧞 Al Sadaqa
- 🐍 Snake Side
- ⚔️ Swords End
He also adds that Police Station and Chateau follow as the most scavenged areas, but he also showed his disappointment that the Museum was poorly attended: what a shame, all those display cases full of Things' parts.
Needless to say, thank you all for joining and for helping us make the greatest playtest ever!
We are impressed by what you achieved in the game in such a short time.
