Good news out of Hell Pie: Nate and Nugget learned Turkish!

First things first: We hope you had a relaxing holiday season and a good start into the new year!
Nate and Nugget used their free time to improve their foreign language skills. And so, in addition to English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian and Simplified Chinese, they are now also fluent in Turkish!
This means that you can now play Hell Pie with Turkish localization. Many thanks to the MythÇeviri Team for providing us with the translations! 🥳
In addition, we've also fixed a few bugs in the already existing languages.

Guys, the year 2022 was a really exciting one for us in many ways. We (finally) released Hell Pie after five (long) years of development. You all received our little game so positively, and we're super happy about that! When you work on a project for so damn long, you eventually lose sight of how good or bad it is halfway through.... It was a hell of a ride, thanks a bunch for joining us on it!
After five years of Hell Pie, we are now working on something else. Let's see when the time is right and we can share some information with you. Fingers crossed for 2023! ✨

Sound familiar? Yeah, exactly. It's that time of year again, when hordes of poorly disguised kids stumble from front door to front door, ringing doorbells and yelling "trick or treat." And if the proclaimed sweets are not handed out, they embellish the house with raw eggs. So, at best, with eggs....
And you guessed it: Nate and Nugget are of course at the forefront of such annoying and childish shit! HELL YEAH! 🤘 Ah sorry, it's not Nate and Nugget anymore - it's Johnson and Frederick now:
Both new costumes are available AS OF NOW in Asmodee's shop at Hell Inc. Uhm... and one piece of well-intentioned advice: If our hellish duo ring your doorbell, you'd better open. You've seen what happens to the cute little Unilambs in Hell Pie, right? ...
And in case you missed it: It's spooky Steam Scream Fest time! That's why Frederick made a good use of his bladed gloves and sliced the Hell Pie price by 20%. Good job, Frederick! We are really proud of you!

It's Oktoberfest Time: Update 1.1.4 Adds New Outfits and Fixes to Hell Pie! 🍻

It's finally that time again: Tomorrow, the world's biggest booze-up finally starts in idyllic Munich (after two alcohol-free years of corona-induced break): Oktoberfest! So grab your dirndl, lederhosen and chamois beard and get the party started! 🍻
And where alcohol excesses take place, Nate and Nugget are not far behind! And that's why the new Hell Pie update 1.1.4 - in celebration of Oktoberfest starting tomorrow - brings new outfits into play:

Hell Pie sees you grab the horns of Nate, the "Demon of Bad Taste". He is given the honorable task of gathering the disgusting ingredients for Satan’s infamous birthday pie. To do so, Nate must venture out into the overworld and do whatever it takes to ensure those ingredients are secured in time, or there’ll be hell to pay!
We released the new update 1.1.3 to Hell Pie yesterday, which implements two brand-new outfits as well as some changes and improvements that were brought to us by you, our awesome community! And we are not done yet - if you have some feedback to share, please do. It's really valuable to us, and we read and analyze everything we get. Promise! ❤️

You know, Chroma is this fancy technology that accesses the RGB lighting of your Razer peripherals and thus enhances what's happening on the screen to "real live". Unfortunately, we have been too busy in the last few weeks to continue working on updates for Hell Pie... You know, with things like surviving gamescom in an alcoholic stupor, counting the massive amounts of money we earned with Hell Pie, ... The usual (indie game dev) stuff.
But (surprisingly) somehow we made it! And so I proudly present the Hell Pie update version 1.1.3:
Added a Squirrel outfit for Nate and a Bee outfit for Nugget
Added Superhero outfits for Nate and Nugget
Club Luxoria collision fix (it was possible to get stuck behind a toilet)
Various dialogue fixes
Improved sharpness for various textures
Various minor level design fixes
Compared to the last update, the changes here are quite manageable, that's true.... But hey, with this update you get two damn cool new outfits:

As announced last week Nate and Nugget have been f*cking busy working on the first update for Hell Pie. Therefore, we're gonna save you all the blah-blah and proudly present you the changelog for Hell Pie version 1.1.2:
Added options to disable auto cam rotation
Added option to disable cupid speech bubble
Various dialogue/loca errors fixed
Passive Dialogue Speed increased
Pus bladders in whale level don't respawn anymore
Fixed some bugs that occured when trying to use first person cam while aiming with weapons and vice versa
Fixed a bug where the ingredient in the Da Gina's boss level was lost when leaving the level before collecting it. It can now be found in the start room
Destructible wall in Da Gina's should now reset correctly
Nugget dialogue events are now triggered only once
Nugget dialogue box position tweaked
Patched some holes in various maps
Fixed a bug where the ingriedent list pages were visible in the map
Fixed GameMode/GameState compatibility issue
Fixed a bug where the devil wouldn't appear after respawn at the beginning
Fixed a bug where door tickets in Dr.Jell wouldn't spawn, breaking the game
Cannons now use inverse controls correctly

Greetings platformers!
We hope you had a lovely week so far. We definitely have! Honestly, we are so F*CKING BLOWN AWAY by the awesome feedback we received (and receive) for Hell Pie! Holy moly! When working on a game like Hell Pie, you constantly get comments like "Grow up!", "I can't see how this is funny!" or "What kind of late-pubescent garbage is this?". And even worse. Not that we're not used to it....
But: We are damn proud of this "late-pubescent garbage" that we've done! In your face, you bores and buzzkills!
And that's exactly why it's so good to see that we get such awesome feedback. Hey, we've been working on Hell Pie for 5 long years. Sure, it's nothing compared to Duke Nukem Forever, but it's still a long time.
But no one is flawless. And so, even after all the years of hard work and endless optimization, there are still a few bugs hidden in Hell Pie. (And not just the one in the server room!) But because we love you all soooooo much (and because we got some reports, ideas and feedback from you) we are working on the first update which should be released soon. But there is no exact date yet. At the latest when the residual alcohol from the release party has finally disappeared from our bloodstream... (Man, it was a hell of a night... But, what happens in Essen stays in Essen!)
Among other things, we will address the following issues with the first update:
The dialogs of Nugget will be deactivatable
The Auto Cam will be deactivatable
The dialogs of Nugget will - if activated - be triggered less often
The bug of the no longer spawning tickets at Dr. Jell will be fixed
Other than that, we're cleaning up some small stuff in Hell Pie: spelling mistakes, missing translations, holes in the maps (wherever they come from...). We will of course let you know asap once the update is available!
And I can almost smell the question growing in your heads: Will there be more content for Hell Pie in the future? A good question, but so far there is no answer. There will definitely be updates with more costumes. But whether there will be new levels, DLCs, etc. will ultimately be decided by how successful Hell Pie will be overall. We have a lot of ideas, that's for sure. We will keep you up to date.
