New Figher available now - Hasan

A new character joins Hellish Quart – Hasan, a Turkish Janissary, a warrior of the elite infantry corps of the Ottoman Empire. Janissaries were soldiers trained from a young age, renowned for their discipline, bravery, and mastery of bladed weapons.



Hasan wields a traditional Turkish kilij sword, known for its curved blade and lightning-fast slashing attacks. His fighting style focuses on speed and the ability to link attacks into long, flowing combos (attack linking), allowing him to overwhelm opponents with relentless offense.



Ready for the challenge? The update is live – jump into the game and witness the deadly precision of Hasan, the Janissary!

- Isabella, Dynis, Zera: fixed a bug where they would deal damage 0.05s after the hit, instead of instantly
- HistoryBuff mode, Survival Mode: fixed a bug that may have caused Connor to never be randomly picked
- Gedeon - fixed a bug that caused some Blood decals never to show
- Connor: water splash particles now spawn where he steps in the water instead of 0,0,0

TWEAK:
- Arcade Mode: rewards tweak (you get more ducats for lower difficulties)
- Arcade Mode: number of opponents per difficulty tweak
- Sim Attack Slomo: Fencers must be a bit closer for it to start (<2.7m)

If you are experiencing technical problems after a game update, this solution helps in most cases:

1. In the Steam client, right click on Hellish Quart, choose Properties, Local Files, and click Verify integrity of game files...
2. Update your graphics card drivers and restart the PC.
3. Run Hellish Quart and reset the graphics options to default - go to Main Menu \ Options \ Graphics and click Reset.
4. Restart the game.

- Father Zera, Isabella: fixed regression, where the attack range animation blending did not work
- Marta: fixed regression: Cloth not turning on in the final build
- Jan: attack animation variables - paying off some technical debt

TWEAK:
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: you can turn it on or off in the Weapon Type menu and the Story Mode menu now too, as well as in Gameplay Options
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: added a "clock" sound cue and a little exclamation mark UI icon, to make it more obvious that the time slows down on purpose, to show the incoming hit or miss better, and not because your PC can't handle the framerate
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: turns back to normal time right after the active frames of the attack finish, instead of a pre-set amount of time (the obsolete option to set slo-mo time is gone from Options too)
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: has a 5 second cooldown, to prevent it from happening all the time, if both fencers choose to attack simultaneously all the time
