New Bosses The addition of 2 new early game bosses, as well as 2 new mid game bosses. • Lamia - smoke-based supernatural of darkness & obscurity • Skolex - phantom worm, uses tremors & spikes • Harionago - yokai specializing in various wire traps • Efreet - fire-based supernatural specializing in explosive attacks

Launch Announcement
As many of you have been asking for years, we’re pleased to finally announce the release of HellSign!
Thank you! It’s been 5 years since the conception of HellSign, a labor of love, with countless sleepless nights and the help of an amazing community, it has transformed into the game you see today! Honestly, HellSign wouldn’t be half the game it is without the community, so first and foremost just wanted to give a huge shout out and massive thanks to every one of you who have supported the game!
Why now? There’s always the dreaded time when a game development has run its course. Like every aspiring indie developer, we wish we could have kept working on it and adding content & new chapters endlessly, but as such this is also our day job, and we need to pay the bills ;) To be transparent the game hasn’t been profitable for quite a while now, which signals the time to wrap things up. We are very glad to have even been able to get this far past launch and add so much stuff thanks to your support, and only humbly hope you had a fun ride too in the Early Access!
Launch Specifics HellSign is due to launch Q2 2021, as mentioned above there won’t be any new post-endgame content added (eg: additional chapters) from this point on, nor any major reverts, as we have our hands full preparing for launch and tying up loose ends (e.g. bugs, QoL, a couple of goodies etc).
It’s been a wild ride, hope you enjoy your holidays and stoked to move to full release next year!

This small update addresses imbalances introduced with the gun update from last week, it should line things closer to the pre-gun patch. (mostly changes early game, late game is mostly unchanged)

Greetings hunters,
This small update fixes critical issues with the previous store update, and even adds a couple of gadgets!
Geiger Counter A midrange gadget that works similar to the EMF, but has an additional mode to scan corpses for radioactive corruption, which indicates nearby signs.
Spirit Box A powerful end-game gadget, that works similar to the EMF, but has an additional mode to tune to corpses’ ghost frequencies, which points to the rough direction of multiple signs in a large radius.
Improvements • Geiger counter, new mid-range gadget which replaces emf #2 • Spirit box, new end-game gadget which replaces blacklight #3
Fixes • Fixed store to show critical items (e.g. ear protection) past a certain level • Fixed store was missing the hazmat boots • Fixed store was not refreshing when restarting & switching saves

This update adds a whole heap of new guns, as well as hardcore mode for those feeling extra masochistic!

Greetings hunters,
We are proud to introduce new headgear for this update, also special bullets now do double damage against cryptids, tools can now be swapped in the van (!), and more!
New & improved headgear Night-vision goggles now illuminate specific cryptids, infrared was added which is useful for other cryptids and also shows them through walls, headlamps improve all around visibility, and the other headgear are more comparable to be viable choices.
Special bullets against cryptids Cryptids are now vulnerable to specific bullet types, which will score double damage. Various aspects were adjusted to allow this, e.g. bullets can be carried in the misc slots and changed when not in combat, cryptid analyze tools use shared battery, bullet prices were changed, etc ...
Improvements • Night-vision Gen1, now also improves visibility of specific enemies • Night-vision Gen2, new headgear that gives clearer visibility than Gen1 • Gasmask, new headgear that gives psychosis resistance & bit of armor • Headlamps x2, new headgears that give improved visibility • Infrared Goggles, new headgear showing heat signature for certain enemies • Riot Helmet, new headgear that gives extra protection • Ear protection headgear now gives stability bonus • Tools can now be placed in van, and swapped mid-job • Specialized bullets now deal double damage against specific cryptids • Bullets can now be placed in misc slots, and changed when not in combat • Alternative animations when using headlamp/nightvision/infrared • Shadowbeasts/shadow now require infrared instead of night-vision • Increased parabolic disruption resistance to 4 • Reduced cryptid analyze battery usage • Blacklight can now analyze bone piles for cryptids as well • Parabolic can now analyze corpses for cryptids as well • Updated cryptid journal entries to mention bullet weaknesses • Special ammo impact fx • Various classes have been given headgear, and specialized bullets • Combat tutorial adjusted to allow changing to incendiary bullets for albinos • Adjusted bullets to accommodate for specialized bullets usage • Adjusted prices of all headgear to accommodate new items • Adjusted sell price to 50% • Removed the visual cone from parabolic for better immersion & optimization
