Help Yourself Development Update - October 2021
TLDR:
- Weāve been busy with finishing our masterās theses and business stuff š¢
- Level editor is in development!
- New big free update planned for January
- Full release planned for 2022
So why have there been less game updates in the last months? Weāre currently all finishing our last semesters of university, and we wanted to finish university as fast as possible so we can then fully concentrate on Help Yourself.
Good news is part of the team is already finished or almost finished so development progress will ramp up again the next months! We have also been setting up our own company and dealing with business stuff and government grants has been taking up quite a bit of our time. I think (I hope) the most intense part is behind us and weāll now have more time to put into actual development.
We know a lot of you want to see a level editor in the game, so weāre now actively working on one! Itās coming along nicely and we want to do some early beta testing for the level editor in December or January. A few lucky ones of you will be able to participate in Philipp's study for his master thesis, then you will be allowed to test the editor earlier.
Weāre also working on a new free update for January! This will include a lot of polish, new levels and will also work for Steam VR!
After this we will continue working on the full version of Help Yourself, which we plan to release sometime in 2022. The full version will include a lot more levels, various new mechanics, better graphics and a bunch of stuff I canāt yet tell you about.
