These weeks I have received good advice and feedback from the player Almarod, and from the game designer of ArchRebel: Tactics, Ularis Badler. Thank you, my friends.
This update includes a lot of improvements, among which we can highlight the change of the combat music, graphical improvements, and above all an improvement in the background of the HEROES OF BOOK & PAPER stories, emphasizing the lore in general.
I also want to tell you that the next story 'The Ring of King Agmar' is well underway, and I hope to have it completed and uploaded in a few weeks. The wait will be worth it, as I'm making it with a lot of love and care, trying to make it a great story down to the smallest detail. Thanks for your patience.

The music you will listen to in your battles is now by Joel Steudler. - Increased the Wisdom level to obtain the spell 'Glacial Blast' from the swamp runes in the quest 'The Funeral March' by 1. - Changed a possible spell granted by the swamp runes in the story 'The Funeral March'. Instead of granting the Light spell they now grant the Protect spell (Except for Priest characters). - The descriptions of the kingdoms of Aslona and Caebrend at the beginning of the 'Song of Kings & Wars' adventure have been expanded to delve deeper into the game's lore. - The final texts of the story 'Song of the Kings & Wars' have been modified to make them more epic (or more dramatic). - For Lore reasons, the possible option to ride to the Impassable Mountains, which could have been in the adventure 'Your first adventure', has been changed to: Ride to the nearby mountains (the Impassable Mountains were really far away from that place). - The location of the Serpent Tower and the path leading to it in the story 'The Barbarian' has been changed, in order to better place the general locations in the overall lore of the game. BUGSFIXES - Clicking on failed end-of-adventure messages could cause the player to not leave the page, and forced them to click elsewhere. This has been corrected. - Fixed a bug in the adventure 'Your First Adventure' that could change the encounters by the well, if the player looked at the inventory, or if they returned from the inn to the well again. - Fixed a bug where if a player looked at their inventory while drowning in the sea, they would be directed back to a different page. - Correctly aligned the red cross that sometimes blocks the option to press the escape button. - Some texts have been corrected.

- CHAPTER #11 - THE ASSASSIN
I am a whisper in the wind. I am the shadow you don't see. I am the executing hand and I will carry to the other world, during the silent night, the souls of those who are named in my orders.
This new update adds the last remaining hero to be designed: The Assassin. Players will now be able to play using this class.
As always I take advantage of the update to add more content and improvements to the game. I hope you enjoy them.
THE ASSASSIN - The assassin is the character with the highest DEX skill value in the game. - The assassin can choose two unique weapons at the start of the game: the Lethal Bow and the Double Daggers. - The assassin gets special options to take out guards or set up ambushes, as well as to go unnoticed using stealth. - The assassin, despite starting with a neutral alignment, is closer than any other character to becoming evil.

IMPROVEMENTS - Spell images flickering when a player chooses a spell in the character selection screen has been avoided. - Slightly improved the image of the Rogue player character. - The skull image on the end of adventure or end of campaign page has been aligned correctly. - Some adventure texts have been enriched for more literary content (Some adventures).

- CHAPTER #10 - CAMPAIGN MODE
Campaign mode has been added!
From now on HB&P players will be able to enjoy two types of gameplay: Normal and Campaign.

SMALL INVENTORY PATCH
This small patch fixes a couple of bugs in the new inventory code. I've also taken the opportunity to make further improvements to it.
Changelog:
IMPROVEMENTS - When you mouse over an equipped weapon in the inventory panel it also shows its damage and combat attribute. - When you mouse over an equipped spell, the inventory now also shows you its data. - The inventory code now makes sure to correctly clear the data displayed when the mouse leaves the object.
ADDED - Added description of a future new story.
BUGSFIXES - Fixed a bug where changing the weapon could not correctly display the damage it does when hovering the mouse over it in the inventory. - Fixed a bug that directed the player to the wrong page when using the lockpick to get to the goblin king's tower ('The Labyrinth' story). - Fixed a small bug where the name of the equipped weapon could rarely be displayed in the inventory without any interaction with the weapon.
- CHAPTER #9 - INVENTORY & INTERIORS
*Note: I had to change a lot of the game code for these improvements, so it is possible that when loading a save game, some armour may not display correctly, some items may get stuck in the inventory, and the currently equipped spell may fail in some events. I RECOMMEND STARTING A NEW GAME. Please forgive any inconvenience this may cause.
Some players have suggested me to improve the Inventory system, and players are the most important thing for a developer. I have also received advice on some very good improvements to incorporate into the game. HB&P is a game made for those players, and I want the experience playing it to be the best possible, so I got to work on it. You will see in the changelog which players have contributed ideas and now they are also part of HB&P.
This update focuses on completely changing the inventory system, adding a lot of improvements. This is very important, because from now on, equipped items no longer take up space allowing the player to carry a total of 12 items instead of 9, you can now sort and delete empty slots, and you can cancel the mode of deleting items or selling them by pressing the same button again (and more improvements).
I have also modified the interior location graphics. They look much better now.
And as always, I have added some new options, some new items, and some improvements.

I'm still working to offer as soon as possible the Campaign game mode, which will add another different way to play HB&P, much more difficult, more interesting, and heroic!.

- CHAPTER #8 - THE FUNERAL MARCH
Ragnar, Queen Valeria's First Wizard and personal advisor, is dead. Queen Valeria wants you to accompany his funeral march from Caeb to Crowburg, capital of the Duchy of Kingshire, where the great wizards of Caebrend are buried. You must pass through territory claimed by goblin tribes, so be very careful
This new update includes a new story: The Funeral March.
Also like the other updates, this one comes with improvements and new options for the rest of the stories as well.

And What is the next?
The next update is very important as it will finally include the CAMPAIGN MODE.
Campaign mode is the basic way to play Heroes of Book & Paper. The game selects 5 different stories and the player must complete them in the given order, and cannot fail any of them! This would result in the campaign being considered a failure. The first story will start on easy difficulty, and gradually the difficulty of the stories will increase to very hard.
Completing the campaign is only for true book and paper heroes.

- CHAPTER #7 - THE HUNTER
Aslona is known for its strong and tough hunters. The life of a hunter is very routine, but sometimes they feel the call of adventure.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HUNTER - The hunter may begin their adventures with a -5 Hunter's Bow. This is the only bow in the game that deals 3 points of damage per attack (although it takes a -5 penalty to hit). - The hunter gets an automatic option to hunt prey in hunting events, even if he/she does not have the right weapon. - The hunter does not receive evil points when hunting. - The hunter can find shelter to avoid flocks of birds. - The hunter can automatically set traps in events that require it, even without the right objects.

Thanks to a suggestion from [OCD] Mbutu Otutu player, I have uploaded a small patch with volume reduction for all music and added in the options the possibility to control the volume.

- CHAPTER #6 - THE COBRA'S ARK
Prince Cobra has extended his domain beyond Serpent Island and for months now has been invading the Turanian Hardlands. Queen Kali, engaged in a war against the other two kingdoms, for the crown of the Known World, does not have enough troops to fight him. She has asked you to cross the Sea of Storms, reach his palace, and put an end to his reign of terror, death, and slavery.
This major new update includes the first additional post-launch adventure: 'The Cobra's Ark'.
Each new adventure allows me to add new mechanics, new encounters, and new items that can appear in the other adventures that were already included, so these also get new improvements and new options.
As for the roadmap, I'll be adding a new playable character class to the game in a few weeks. You can also see the descriptions of the next three adventures to be developed in the game.
Once we reach seven playable quests, I will include a campaign mode for the game.
This new update includes another new set of improvements, changes and additions in addition to the built-in adventure.
