Heroine Anthem Zero

Patch 1.0.3.0 update

A Happy Lunar New Year to all!

This patch includes a free DLC storyline (as promised!), difficulty selection, and other optimizations.
The new storyline begins at Sunset Valley Pass, where players will find the Dead Leaves area. It is a place where any small breeze or the slightest human step would make leaves crackle and sigh, filling the atmosphere with an eerie feeling of dread. People who leave the area alive are prone to mumble the strangest things, becoming rather paranoid, and so the villagers from Uzato tend to avoid it altogether. Despite this, Wanin, Mormolia and Shama all head to this area for their own different reasons.
The new storyline also comes with new in-game art -- we are sure this free DLC will add to the Heroine Anthem Zero experience.

Patch Notes:

A. Adds the free DLC we promise! The cavern entrance in Sunset Valley Pass that you couldn’t enter? It’s open now! Inside you will discover a story of a certain red-headed little tot. And of course, there is a new boss for Wanin to challenge. Remember, if you see a save point, you know something is up. Please play and save responsibly.

B. That thief-catching side quest? Sometimes the thief may even run past you now.

C. Those places that only Shama can… we mean, those places that Wanin can’t get by because they’re too low? We’ve hid them so for the time being, Wanin no longer has to try to do the impossible.

D. Weapon and armor related status bugs have been fixed, so you no longer have to take them off and put them on again. Of course, players can still take them off and on for kicks.

E. Added Difficulty selection. At the Title Screen, you can now select our “Relax” mode for some casual cruising, or the somewhat challenging “Standard” mode. ("Nightmare" mode will be added in future updates.)

F. And speaking of the Title Screen, we finally added the “Setting” option to the UI. you can now select the language, sound and game difficulty settings prior to starting your game.

Upcoming Patch Announcement

It’s been 4 days since the release of Heroine Anthem Zero, and the team has been carefully taking in everything the community has been telling us -- the good and the bad, the praise and the constructive criticism. This is very important for us, and we wanted the players to know that their voices have been, and will continue to be, heard.
During the production of Heroine Anthem Zero, the team tested and revised the game countless times in order to give players a challenging experience while still full enjoying the storytelling in the game. This was our wish for the version that we released before Christmas.
From the reviews and comments and voices heard through other channels, we now realize we need to make revisions to many areas, including the stages, the controls, the boss fights and many other areas.

This week, in order to give players a better experience, and easier access to the story, we will be making the following adjustments:

Greatly increase the damage of Mormolia’s companion attack. After the adjustment, in addition to being able to stun the enemy, this Pet Attack will also be Wanin’s best weapon against long-range enemies.
A full overhaul of the stages, including the behavior and difficulty of the stage bosses, including:
Decreasing the attack damage and HP for Rentolus, allowing the first boss fight to be more beginner-friendly.
Making Riella less angry at Brandr, so she won’t take it all out on Wanin. Riella will hit more lightly ad Naire will jump in quicker to stop the fight. (Decreasing the attack damage and HP for Riella)
Shama will be better-behaved and submit to Wanin’s chase in a more civilized manner. (Decreasing the attack damage and HP for Shama)
That giant piece of vegetation will flee the scene faster, and the certain slabs in the Henge will be easier to step on, making it simpler to evade some attacks. (Decreasing HP of Fanged Butterfly Flower)
Finally, the vicious spider and fish-headed creature will be disciplined as well. They might not be too friendly, but they’ll be easier to swallow.
Many visitors reported that Longhorn Woods and Foggy Shadow Valley were full of nasty traps. The gardener has been advised to trim the trees, clear out the spiders, and make the place more pleasant overall.

Roast Chicken Legs are now more abundant on Boss stages, proving Uzato is really overflowing with natural resources and livestock.
Heroic Vigor will be more readily available.
Anasul has upgraded her wares, and Hakty and Skul are now more powerful weapons.
It is well-known that wearing clothes adds to one’s HP. It is common sense that the more expensive clothes are, the more HP they give. Anasul understands this now.
As a Forest Keeper, Wanin should be more resistant to creatures in the forest. Especially that hanging spider in Longhorn Woods. (Poison damage will be revised.)
And as a Forest Keeper, Wanin can move freely in the woods. The following will be adjusted:
Dashing will no longer end after a Dash Jump, Wanin can continue Dashing.
As evidence of the training Forest Keepers go through, Dash Jumps can be made after another Dash Jump.
Dash Jump will no longer only be a set distance, but can be slightly adjust in mid-air.
Added Simplified Chinese subtitles, we know some of our friends need them.

We are working hard to deliver these modifications, which we believe should allow player to experience better-paced gameplay. We also will correct the following bugs:
Anasul will no longer take Wanin to places he hasn’t yet been to. These bug meant players would be unable to experience certain events correctly, and they will be rectified.
The secret scroll from the Spider boss will no longer be ignored by Anasul. She will craft the weapon accordingly.

In addition to the above modifications, we are also aiming to provide the following changes in Patch 1.1, to be deliver in the next month:
Selectable game difficulty, with a new “Relax” mode along with the original Standard mode -- for players who prefer a more relaxed experience.
Language and voice options selectable at the Login screen. Players can now change these settings before they start the game.
Mac OS support!
New branch quest and events, free as promised!

The above changes are our plans for the coming month. We hope players can enjoy their time in Uzato. We are also busy making Episode 2 -- where the fog of war descends upon Engora proper!
