After launching Hillmain Hotel yesterday, it has become clear very quickly that the game is not intuitive or polished enough in it current state. As a solo developer, and having this be my first shipped game, it is heartbreaking for me to write this.
I am unsure what the future of this game will be, but I have learned a valuable lesson from this experience and will use it to ensure better quality in future releases.
I had a blast making Hillmain Hotel, and I am very sorry that the community is not having a blast playing it. My intention was not to scam or rip off anyone. I am very sorry for any inconvenience that this launch has caused anyone.
I know I missed the mark in my excitement to get the game released. I thought the game was in a much better state than it is, and I had many test players also indicate that they enjoyed the game.
