On this day, it is customary to place pumpkins with terrible faces carved on them and a game-breaking bug inside, petting cheating cats, feeding bats with optimization and talking to ghosts of high frame rate.

In this regard, a patch is waiting for you tomorrow, in which we have provided a small event dedicated to Halloween, as well as improved optimization of the game.

Now we are actively working on optimization, the new version of the engine has given us more opportunities for this. Also, the network component fixes are almost ready, internal tests are already taking place. A global leveling of the character is under development, and soon we will publish more information on this.

Patch 0.9.2017

Changes:

  • The transition to a newer version of Unity has been carried out, which will allow us to further use the new engine features to improve optimization, network code, and the graphic component of the project. You should notice some performance improvements already in this update, especially on Thailand location.


Changes made based on your feedback regarding the contract system:

  • Once a day, every player can update all contracts from corporations for free, except for special ones.

  • At any time, you can replace the contract you do not like with a new one by paying a small amount of CR or WB.

  • Bleeding damage contracts are now easier.
  • Removed contracts for the killing of IRONCLAD UNIT, the destruction of drones, sonars, assistants.
  • Chance of dropping mods from chests for contracts increased by ~ 50%.
  • Fixed sniper contract for the destruction of enemy devices using EMP.


Balancing changes:

  • The icon of allied mines has been changed, be careful, they are just as dangerous as the enemy mines, the new icon will only allow you to determine who put it - friend or enemy.
  • SVU - changed the position of the weapon in the hands, changed recoil. Added weapon observing animation.
  • UMP45 - increased damage from 36 to 40.
  • OTs33 - increased damage from 33 to 36.


Destroyer:

  • The second attack perk, reduced the bonus to reduce the impact of injuries to 40%, removed the bonus on the duration of bleeding.
  • Musculature - HP bonus reduced to 20.
  • Morphine - HP bonus reduced to 50.
  • Neuroblocker - increased regeneration limit to 90 hp and regeneration speed to 3 hp per second.


Scout:

  • Triple-action flashbang - the delay before the explosion and the time between explosions are reduced. Increased cost to 35.


Sniper:

  • Stun Grenade - Stun radius reduced.

We are glad to inform you that we are listening to your wishes and have improved the contract system! From now on, each player will be able to update all corporate contracts for free once a day, or for a little fee in CR or WB you will be able to change one particular contract - exeption for special contracts.

In addition, we switched to the updated version of Unity which will allow us to use new functions of the engine to improve optimization, net code and graphic component of the project.

In the meantime - we keep working on the global leveling system, new location and the updates for the netcode.

Mercenaries! We are glad to present you a patch for Hired Ops.

Changelog:

  • Fixed a bug due to which some players could not start the game
  • Fixed game locations, it will no longer kick off when in contact with the environment, and it will not be possible to climb in stones at the Lighthouse.

Stormtrooper:

  • Fragmentation grenade - cost reduced to 30
  • Thermal grenade - cost reduced to 30

Destroyer:

  • Changed the order of unlocking of the cartridges. Now it is as follows:

  • EMP strike now opens for second defense perk
  • Anti-personnel mine - cost increased to 60
  • Fragmentation grenade - cost reduced to 30

Upcoming update

Today at 15:00 Moscow time, we plan to stop the Hired Ops servers to install the update, which includes many fixes and improvements to the game. It wll take about 30 minutes. A list of changes will be published after the installation is completed.

We are glad to share with you information about what we are currently working on at Hired Ops!

So, we are in the process of switching to a more recent version of the Unity engine, which will allow us to install a new network component soon, which, in its turn, is designed to fix the desynchronization issues of those players in who still face them from time to time (often happens when using mobile modems).

Also, we continue working on optimization, as well as on a global levelling system. We will give more information about these and other features soon.
