This patch also prepares the game for the physical release of HITMAN World of Assassination on PS5 on August 25 and for the return of the Sarajevo Six campaign and Trinity Pack, both available as premium content on August 17.
PATCH DETAILS
HITMAN World of Assassination will be updated to version 3.160.
Maintenance: Starts at 10:00 UTC and is expected to run until at least 13:30 UTC . If maintenance is extended, updates will be posted to the official @Hitman Twitter account.
Patch Release Time: 11am UTC (This is when the download will roll out, but servers will not be available until the above Maintenance period has concluded)
Patch size: Expected to be between 2-5 GB on all platforms.

Dimitri Vegas Elusive Target Reveal
Dimitri Vegas will take on the role of “The Drop” – a DJ-turned-drug impresario bent on controlling the scene one way or another
The Drop Elusive Target was announced during a surprise interruption to Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike’s set at Tomorrowland 2023 on July 30th, the largest and most popular electronic dance music festival in the world.
"I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Hitman universe,” said Dimitri. “It’s always exciting to be involved in creative projects and I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone reacts to my character when the mission launches later this year.” - Dimitri Vegas.
"We’re thrilled to partner with Dimitri Vegas on a brand new Elusive Target mission in HITMAN World of Assassination", said Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive. "This will be the first Elusive Target mission that we’ve created in two years and we’re very happy that our passionate community and newcomers to the game will be able to enjoy it for free later this year as part of IO Interactive’s 25-year anniversary celebrations."

The May Patch also brings several new unlockable items, a new 'Prestige' feature for Freelancer and an expansion of Contracts Mode with support for the ICA Facility. There’s something for everyone and we’re excited to share how we’ve improved the experience of the game 27 months after launch.

NEW CONTENT
Black Bruiser Suit
Complete any Freelancer campaign on Harcode Mode and the Black Bruiser is yours to keep.
“Why take an aspirin after a rough night, when you can flip the coin and make it a look? A classic black suit with a bloody white shirt, to show the world that no one messes with you.”
If you’ve already completed a Freelancer campaign on Hardcore, you’ll automatically complete this challenge and earn the unlock once you launch the game post-patch.
Exploding Pen
As the old phrase goes, 'explosions speak louder than words'. That’s never been more true with the Exploding Pen you can unlock by heading back into the Patient Zero campaign and eliminating Craig Black under some specific and fitting circumstances.
Contracts Mode – ICA Facility
We’re expanding the offering of Contracts Mode to now include the ICA Facility location. More specifically it’s the Freeform Training mission that takes place on the yacht.
HITMAN Freelancer – Prestige
We’re adding a new ‘Prestige’ feature to Freelancer that will give you more reasons to play.
On the Mission Control table, there’s now a ‘Prestige Laptop, which allows you to progress through five Prestige Levels. Once you’ve collected all the weapons that can be stored in the Safehouse, you’ll be able to use the Prestige Laptop to advance your Prestige Level.
Increase the Prestige Objective Merces payout and grant an XP bonus for completing missions.
These bonuses increase from level 1-5 and do not change once you reach Prestige Level 5.
Add a Prestige trophy (a single trophy will display your current Prestige Level)
Remove all items in your inventory, all Freelancer gear, all weapons on the weapon walls and all Merces.
The design of this feature is very much focused on it being fun to collect all the weapons again, and being able to optimize the way that you collect them, based on your previous experiences.
*Some small details about Freelancer - Prestige listed here are different to what we published in our recent Patch Notes Preview. The preview was accidentally based off old information.
TECHNOLOGY
With the 3.150.1 patch, we’ve fixed an issue with GPU memory leak (VRAM) with DLSS enabled. There’s also been some updates to Nvidia DLSS from version 2.4.3 to 3.1.1.0 and Nvidia Streamline from version 1.4.6 to 1.5.2.
