Hold My Beer

Had a blast at Supanova!

I had a booth setup at Supanova (Brisbane, AU) last weekend!

Unsurprisingly, the 'Hold My Beer' demo was a crowd pleaser. With a constant stream of cringe moments and worried looks as punters had a go at each dare.

Myself and volunteers had to catch quite a few people that couldn't handle their virtual liquor, which was all part of the fun!

The demo experience had a Welsh narrator, and forced you through each dare once, then allowed a couple minutes of free play. What do you think, should I make this mode available for parties?

The other VR setups at the convention were showing the standard tech demo's, so I'm happy to have been able to bring my indie flavour out to play.

10/10 would make people scream and freak out in public again!

Oculus Rift+Touch Supported

I know you've been waiting too long for this, and finally, I got my hands on some hardware and added support for the Oculus Rift+Touch!

So now our Rift friends can get e-crunk and wreck themselves too!

NOTE: You MUST have the touch controllers in order to play this game with the Rift.

So yup, now you can play this on HTCVive or Oculus Rift+Touch
What's next? well I think you know... ;)

Minor Patch

I've pushed a minor patch to the game.
If you're crazy enough to keep playing, you'll notice some improvements, including...

Improvements

  • Pistol now 5x more lethal!! - be careful with it, wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.
  • Performance improvements to the Gun and Road games

Bugfixes

  • Menu coasters are less "touchy" - so that you don't jump into the wrong game
  • Beer no longer randomly spills when you look away from it - that stuff is precious!
  • Walking Frame no longer freaks out at certain angles and now correctly pushes off the sidewalk.

Easter Eggs

  • What? you thought I'd tell you? Ha!

Thanks for playing and try not to injure your virtual bodies too badly
