For the winter season we have added a little bonus event to change things up a bit. Finish the event for a special reward! The reward remains active in Holopoint after the Raid period has ended.

Change Log
With the winter update comes a few changes. Holopoint is now rendering in multi-pass mode which is slightly more demanding than the single-pass rendering it has been using, but allows for better visuals overall. The engine has also been updated to improve performance and solve smaller issues.
Going forwards we will be working to improve the animating system (such as the double jump bug that has recently surfaced) and balance boss encounters as requested by the community.

Dev Build 5.0.1
The dev branch has been updated with the following changes:
• Updated to SteamVR version to 1.2.0
• Updated to Unity version 5.5.1f1
• Updated level change method - Needs testing on wave 29-30 switch
• Fixed SteamVR invalid server request bug
• Changed from multi-pass to single-pass rendering (optimized draw calls)
• Updated post-processing to support single-pass rendering
• Added bow lock outside of main menu
• Possible fix for crash on close bug (DEP issue?)
• Fix for short depth of field issue (To fix in main build hold shift while launching and change the quality setting)
• Internal changes (data management, error catches, etc).

The Holopoint Winter Update is live!
The update brings the latest Dev Build to the main game, along with an all new Item Shop, Winter Raid Event (limited time), and some extra surprises to discover.

Raid Mode
Raid Mode is an event system designed to give players fresh adventures during select periods of time. Some content found in each Raid remains active in Holopoint after the Raid period has ended. Marked by a unique badge, each Raid offers challenging enemies and detailed locations.
Raid Mode unlocks after Wave 10, but it is recommended to reach Tier Two before attempting.

Future Builds

New menu system and Time Trial mode:
The new menu system cleans up the play space through a simple interface. With the addition of a new game type, Time Trial, there is now more choice than ever. Time trial mode allows players to design their own challenge. The game itself is a race against the clock to collect as many points as possible by eliminating targets before time runs out. Unlike the "Classic" game, there is no lives counter; instead, players lose ten percent of their current score for every hit they take. The more points on the board the greater the risk of losing them.
Before starting a game of Time Trial, the new menu system is used to select the desired targets, spawn and time limits, and location of play. This allows for an experience tailored for the player. Due to the custom nature of Time Trial mode, there is not an option for public competition over leaderboards. This new game type is designed for training and quick games with your favorite enemy types.
Along with those changes, there are a fair amount of small updates going live in 4.0.6 as well. These include improvements to the game's audio cues, aiming systems, and overall performance. Bugs fixes from the last few development builds are included with this update. For more information about these bug fixes see the development build forums.
For those who discovered the secret path to level 44 in the development builds, we are sad to say this is not available in the main branch. We need to keep the leaderboards fair, so builds with scoring enabled do not offer such shortcuts.

For those of you who like to see what we are working on before it hits the main game, check out the new development build. We have been hard at work fixing strange bugs, upgrading graphical elements, adding new content, and making Holopoint an overall better experience.
The current Dev Build (4.0.1) went live yesterday (07/14/16) and has a lot of new features to test!

The Orlando shooting happened just miles away from our studio, and we know how devastating it has been.
