We have launched our beta for Holy Potatoes! A Spy Story?! . Simply head to our Discord , and come to #announcements to learn more about how to sign up and receive the Steam beta key. Your participation will definitely help us to improve our game before the official release.
In another Discord related news, we have launched our latest and most ambitious title yet, Holy Potatoes! A Discord RPG?! Go join other Spudlings to train your character, buy weapons and send it on quests to battle evil Spuds from the Holy Potatoes Universe.
Also, today is Singapore's 53rd birthday, and it is a Public Holiday here, but we have been working really hard this week to polish the game and ensure every will go right for the beta build. Our artists are also creating Steam achievements and trading cards, and you can take a look at some of them below:

Welcome back to a Thursday Update :D We’ve been working on polishing and refining A Spy Story?! now, and here are a few new features!
You can now choose to accept side missions at your own pace! There’s no expiration for these side missions until you accept them. Each case will contain a different number of missions, and you’ll only be able to collect the reward when all related missions to the case are completed.
However, missions that are central to the plot will still be popping up on the mission list, so you’ll have to finish them in time.
And here’s the reward for completing the mission :D As missions increase in difficulty level, you’ll wind up with different kinds of rewards. Some of them can be central to completing main missions, so don’t forget about them!

As you can see, one of the things we’fe been working on include a special mission! The specifics are not hammered out yet but you’ll get to carry out a mission in ‘real-time’ with the combined strengths of your other spies.
A Spy Story?! is coming along smoothly; we ran a mini test in our office last Friday and collated a bunch of bugs encountered as well as suggestions!

Nothing’s more apt than celebrating the release of Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! on both Switch and PS4!! It’s quite exciting for us, and we’d like to thank all our players for patiently waiting.
Work is startihg on We’re in Space?! too, so it won’t be too long before we’re releasint that on Switch and PS4 too!

As you can see, we’ve spiced up the animations for the mission control. Here are other animations for different actions!
Other than switching up the animation, we’ve also uploaded more expressions so you’ll be able to keep track of your spies’ progress in missions or in training centres. It’s pretty cute, if I do say so myself - though Spyderman’s eyes shouldn’t be able to narrow like that.
Though the game’s really coming together, we’ve also been discussing how to keep things hyped up for players - A Spy Story?! is more strategic in nature, and has a unique Holy Potatoes! take on the spy genre. Hence, the first few minutes of gameplay may be quite contrary to expectations of the genre.
One way we’ve tried is to introduce an interesting cast (as you’ve seen, Souper Maria and Spyderman) instead of regular randomnised spies. Another would be the ability to plan and shape your own spy agency.
We’ve still got a month or so, so let’s try our best!
On a separate note, we’re finally able to announce that HPAWS will be officially released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on 10 and 12 July respectively! Just in case you missed the announcement ;)

Hello Spudlings!
It’s been a pretty productive week; as we draw closer to the end of June, we’re glad to say that things are going to get even busier!
On the art side, as you can see, most of the decorations and training stations are complete. We’ll have to polish and resize some of it - though, really, who wouldn’t want a giant Mochi shrine?
We’re also working on setting changes such as save/load game features and volume controls. Here’s a mock-up of the save game panel!
The tutorial, too, is complete! You may have noticed the changes in colour scheme - they were made to better centre our players' attention on the content.
We’re also working with Jeffrey Brice for this game - you can check his twitter out here, and his website here. It’s been a pleasure working with his compositions for the past few games, and we’re looking forward to some more snazzy tunes for this coming Spy Story?!
In the meantime, HPAWS will be available on both Nintendo Switch and PS4 real soon, so keep an eye out for that! We’re also starting work on HPWIS, but that will likely take a while longer.

For today’s update, we’ll be taking a look at Kumo. If you’re new to the gang, Kumo’s our friendly Pinkopteropotatocricetulus who loves carrot-shaped potatoes.

Welcome back to another weekly update :) Here are some good news to start the log: Ever since our decision to shift the entire game into 2D, our animator, Karmen, has managed to finish the isometric animations for 36 normal and 12 special spies.
Can you tell who inspired the design for these spies?
We’re aiming to finish all the art by late June or early July; but in the meantime, while planning out cutscenes, poor Billy had to stand in for everyone.

Now, onto the good stuff. As promised, we have gathered here today to learn more about our main characters, Ren and Rexa (and Arm)!
Arm thinks he’s got Ren wrapped around his little finger. Ren thinks, however, that Arm’s jokes are so bad because he’s a literal face-palm. Ha.
The metal arm is a bit of a mystery in itself, both in-game and outside of it. Our current lead writer, Ryu, says that nobody really knew what the purpose of the arm was. So she superhero-dived in and made it “talk and be annoying”. Verbatim.
The conception of this brilliant discovery happened 11 years ago, under a desk in a classroom. Not much is known about the reason for a whale washer, but us lesser edibles can only hope to understand Rexa’s genius. Here it is, in all of its full, grainy glory: (You can even see the timestamp!)
