UPDATE - v1.6.0 provides a big overhaul!
Holy crap, people — did you realize that Home is almost five years old!? And you continue to play, question, debate and enjoy it, which brings many a smile to our weathered faces.
Home gets a lot of under-the-hood improvements today, to make your playing experience better, and to future-proof the game as new players continue to discover it and dive in.
What's New in v1.6.0
- Home now more seamlessly supports keyboard, mouse, Xinput gamepads and (NEW) PlayStation®4 DualShock®4 controllers; plug whatever you have in and use it; the game will adjust its prompts to match more accurately
- Home is now fully playable with a mouse/trackpad (except for that one puzzle that requires typing)
- new pause menu allows you to return to title screen or quit to desktop
- game now renders beautifully on 21:9 monitors!
Bug fixes and improvements
- tweaked, higher-res, better-looking title and ending screens
- gamepads no longer rumble if not actively in use
- screenshots now work consistently * - better window mode switching (just hit F4)
- text boxes can no longer be skipped by accident!
- locked doors consistently display "now unlocked" text
- a bunch of little "how is that still a thing?" fixes
* Mac version sometimes takes "partial screenshots" — we are trying to find a way around this and will address this in a future update.
A message to the players
We still can't believe how popular this game got since its launch, and how many of you have jumped in to try our brand of horror-mystery-adventure. We just wanted to say thanks for all the support these past years — we hope you'll continue to enjoy Home, and our other games.
:-)

Our new game Alone With You is now available
Hey, folks! Our follow-up to Home has now launched on Steam! There's a launch discount of 15%, and it's available for PC and Mac.
We hope to see you over there, in the bittersweet purple atmosphere of space.
New game (Alone With You) launching February 9!
Hey, all! It's been a long time since I launched Home here on Steam, and I appreciate all the players, discussions and friendly arguments this game has encouraged!
I wrote a little intro post about AWY over on that page, but here's a snippet:
Alone With You is a "sci-fi romance adventure" — and it's a bit like a Star Trek episode crossed with a dating sim, but a whole lot more tragic. It's meaty (average 4–6 hours of gameplay, but it can be more!), and has lots to offer players who like exploring, learning about the world, and really getting to know some "remarkably well-written" characters (Gamespot said that, not us).
Like Home, it's a narrative-focused game where your choices affect things, but this time around, the story itself is more detailed, more substantial, and will tug your heartstrings in all sorts of unexpected directions.
I'll be posting more behind-the-scenes details on the game leading up to launch, so I hope to see you there!

UPDATE - Home now has Steam Trading Cards!
Now when you play the game, you'll get tasty Trading Cards, Badges and Emoticons, perfect for collecting or trading.
UPDATE - v1.5.2 should fix Windows launch issues
So sorry to everyone who experienced this nasty bug!
Installing the 1.5.2 update on Windows should solve the issue where the game crashed on launch.
Please note that there is an issue with Windows 10 throwing up an error when you quit the game. Nothing is lost, and everything quits fine -- we're trying to track down why this error appears, and will get another update out ASAP.
