Finally, the VR DLC is out now and FREE, so grab it fellow VR players!
This marks the first version of the VR Mode of HOTD and it is now playable in Steam VR with HTC Vive and a Xbox controller or Mouse and keyboard.
Here are some other tips to ensure the right setup:
make sure to make the seating setup in Steam VR ( our heigh setting of the HMD was with 120cm or by calculating while the HMD is on the ground )
Then your height should be perfect ingame.
make sure to have started the non-VR version with "Breathtaking" Graphics setting at least once, since the VR version could launch with the cheap setting and could create some artifacts.
And we know some of you are very hyped, but keep in mind that this Mode is also in an alpha state. So there might be still some issues and bugs. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
But that also means we will continue updating and improving this mode as well! You know, this is our first try with VR ever and we are looking forward to add more features. :SKULLSMILEY:
We hope you can already enjoy our first version of the VR Mode and get really scared and we are very excited to hear what you think. And oh boy it's really something new to see it through VR. Even we were frightened at some points! So thats someting isnt it? (☞゚∀゚)☞

FREE VR DLC COMING NEXT WEEK
Finally, after some heavy learning, failing, drinking a lot and experimenting with the integration of VR we are ready to release the first version of the VR Mode for HOTD! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
We know many are looking forward to this, and we are excited too! :THESKULLFACE:
So the Date we are aiming is the 18.08

This version of the VR Mode will be playable through Steam VR with HTC Vive and with gamepad or mouse and keyboard.
But don't worry alongside with the development of the game we will try our best to add more features to the VR DLC as well. :THEDEEP:

STORY UPDATE
ARCANE LIBRARY UPDATE
Finally, a new update is here with exciting content!
As usual, it took longer than we thought. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
The Arcane Library update introduces the first story elements of the HORROR OF THE DEEP. Inspired by games like amnesia and co. We initially wanted to create a pure environmental storytelling but you guys wanted more story elements so deeply, we just couldn't let you down. (◕‿◕✿)
So now you can find and collect mysterious notes and hints from other lost souls who came with you into the terrifying world of HORROR OF THE DEEP and explore their lives, their fears, and their ends...:THEDEEP:
Also, there is a new awesome optional area to find - The Arcane Library. We have tried some new level design stuff and it really shows, so we will try to make the next levels with this new quality and maybe rework some older stuff.

I mean, seriously, you can not deny that we have improved, look at that ...
ahhh yeah, maybe explore it first for yourself, good dammit trying not to spoil is so hard!

We have also made some other changes because that's too less, isn't it?
we have completely thrown away all our image effects, like bloom and replaced them with fresh new ones with better features and performance
also, antialiasing is now totally op with temporal antialiasing, roasting every potato PC
every level has now a different color style for a better atmosphere of each individual level
many levels have new and different ambient music
and of course, smaller bug fixes that piled up like garbage with the new update ... especially mac ... ༼ つ ಥ_ಥ ༽つ
as already mentioned there is also a whole new level which can be entered form the "Basin Of Tears" - search it, find it and let us know how you like it.
So, after all, we have now a new main story as a basis, that we will extend even more with more side story elements and with every update.
We had also some very cool new ideas for the game while making this and we will try to make it reality, we will probably make a proper announcement for that next time.
People say that's good because of hype and stuff, so that can't go wrong, right? (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Also, we want to make some more of this "lore" stuff that those fresh people are so hard into nowadays but first have to research and think about it a bit more...
hm... maybe we should really try this "Dark Souls" game ... should be easy to get into it (~˘▾˘)~

COLLECTORS UPDATE
STEAM TRADING CARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS ADDED

seems a little bit silent here huh? Well, we have taken advantage of that and have worked quietly on some stuff that most people seem to want desperately! (no .. uh no content uh ... it's steam trading cards ... yeah)

So we have made a little Steam stuff update ...
"Just add some Trading Cards, it's not that hard. Just make some pictures and thought it in. And people buy your game more often" they said...

Turned out to be so much much more (nasty), but hey we did it! But maybe we have overdone that... (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
A whole ton of super shiny cards, glorious badges to prove yourself as a true survivor. Also, beautiful and mysterious backgrounds to make your friends soo envy and super funny emoticons! ( uh yeah that's a "must do" too)
But please don't hate us for the emotions, seems they are not that good, on the other hand, NOBODY told us that you have to do pixel art... and you know that's impossible when you are drunk as fuck ... I mean they sooo tiny!

UPDATE 1.1 IRON RETAINMENT
Here we are with a smaller update that focuses on changes to the savepoint system. This was requested a lot and therefore we have prioritized this for a smaller update and we will follow up then with other sweet content.

Also, we have made other little changes, fixes, and some new stuff with the UI.

ALPHA 1 CHALLENGE COMPLETED
We are proud to announce that finally, one brave traveler has completed the first challenge!

Only with pure patience, a self-drawn map, and a soul that is dark as the deep itself, he reached the last possible floor with his last breath.
His name... is Owen Johnston, and he shall become a gift as the first of all.
Expect to encounter him in the future, one way or another...
The immortalization and new content will come with the bigger ALPHA 2 update. But before that, we will soon release a smaller update with some content based on your wishes. We hope you look forward to the surprise (◕‿◕✿)

Heyho lost adventurers, the release of the game went quite good and the first days were a blast and quite an experience for us! And the first wave of your sexy feedback and awesome bug reporting, reviews, and support was just overwhelming. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧゚・: *ヽ(◕ヮ◕ヽ)
So we have collected a bunch of the bugs and have squashed them to ensure a better experience for you and all new players, but also a good workflow for the next updates. (and of course finally get rid of this ONE awkward misspelling) (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡
changed old player controller with a new system for better collision and smoother movement

fixed clipping blood text in floor 1
