Patch 1.0.8 The combat update!

Hello!

Very excited to announce a big update which brings the most frequently requested feature to the game, Combat! You'll now have the option of defending yourself by using a gun as you journey through the zone. The idea is to offer more choices to the player on how to deal with threats they encounter. Will you attempt to hide and outrun your pursuers? or stand your ground and try to take them down before they can reach you and tear you to pieces?

If you choose the latter, be aware that ammo is limited and bringing a gun into the zone might have dangerous consequences...

Combat mode is entirely optional and you can still play the game in it's original state.

There are also some more cool changes and a couple of bug fixes in the update, you can check out the full details below!

And once again a huge thanks to those who have played the game and those who have given feedback, it means a lot!

Gameplay changes

Added Combat Mode. To enable combat mode for a new save file just check the box in the new game menu. You can also easily convert an already existing save file in the loading menu by just a press of a button (Just make sure there is enough room for 3 items in the boot of the car so the new items will fit. The save file will be blocked from converting until there is free room available in the boot of the car).

Reworked some parts of the story.

Reworked how the monsters interact with the car to make the car more safe to hide in. Monsters now need to hit the car a couple of times before they are able to break the window and get the player that is inside.

You can now repair the front driver window once it is damaged.

The flashlight now automatically enables when it has fully recharged.

Increased monster scream distance on detection so players can more easily know that they are going to be attacked.

Sped up some of the recordings to give the game a better flow.

Bug fixes

Fixed a bug which sometimes caused enemies to not stop chasing the player during a cutscene.

Fixed a bug which could cause an anomaly to spawn next to the gate in the first area.

Fixed a bug which could cause a battery to disappear if inserted into the car at the start of the second area.

Fixed a bug which would prevent bear traps from trapping a monster if it had previously trapped another monster.
