Dear loyal fans of Hotel Giant 2!
As you might noticed Hotel Giant 2 was not available for sale on Steam for a period of time. This was caused by some licensing issues but finally UIG Entertainment (holding all games of the famous “Giant” series) gained back the rights on the critically acclaimed Hotel Giant 2.
As we want to spice things up a little bit before putting the game live and available again on Steam we’ve decided to give the game a little makeover.
What has changed so far?
Widescreen support with additional resolutions of 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080
German and Italian language added
Steam Cloud support added
Some tweaks to optimize support on newer OS (Win 7 /8)
What are the plans for the near future?
Add Steam Achievements
Add further languages
To make sure everything is working we want you to experience the significant changes so far and give you the possibility to pass your opinion. To do so please join the Hotel Giant 2 Update Open Beta.
How to?
Right-click on Hotel Giant 2 in your Steam library
Choose properties
Go to the “Beta” tab
Choose “open_beta” from the dropdown field
Download the update
Anything else?
Please be aware that if you decide to opt out of the open beta (and revert to the original build) for any reasons, you might experience that the game will freeze when loading. In this case simply delete the “VCONFIG.DAT” in “user/documents/my games/Hotel Giant 2”.
