[Important]Regarding Bug Exploits and Unfair Advantages
First of all, a happy new year to all of you. We wish you all the best for the rest of the year.
As always, we are doing our best to improve the game via planning various contents, fixing bugs and testing various anti-cheat solutions, there were several, open and anonymous, reports regarding unfair advantages exploiting level glitches and illegal programs.
While we are looking into the codes for the illegal program usages, we have acquired solid evidence for such acts, such as video clips and logs; as I have said in the forums, we do not tolerate unfair advantages; and this time, I'm posting this announcement as a proof of that statement.
I'm afraid we cannot reveal every detail of the penalty for various reasons, however, we can reveal that as of this moment, we have penalized 1 user who have been using exploits and distributing them actively. The penalty will last for about a week, and if we find that user to be using that exploit even after the penalty ends, we will be penalizing said user further, which will result in a permanent ban in the end.
We strongly advise you not to use such exploits, or use external programs to gain such unfair advantages. While we haven't penalized this time, there are couple of more users currently being analyzed. We will take actions towards them, after we have a solid confirmation from our tech team.

[Patch Released!]Official Announcement Regarding Issues of Certain Item Options
Thank you for enjoying Hounds: The Last Hope.
We have received several reports about the issue regarding certain item options (HP, Stamina) on the new armors not applying properly in-game.
First of all, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience we have caused with this issue. We have found the source of the problem and prepared a patch that will solve the issue, and will release the patch this Thursday evening.
As we would like to make sure that this issue is properly fixed with the hot-fix patch we are going to deploy this Thursday evening, we are planning to conduct a temporary maintenance, to test this issue internally, and to make sure that we don't have to conduct another maintenance and cause inconvenience to the players who are enjoying this game.

[Server Is Now Open!]Emergency Maintenance Patch Note
First of all, I owe you all an apology for this sudden emergency maintenance. We have completed the maintenance successfuly, and fixed some of the problems we couldn't find when we were testing internally. These are the some of the critical bugs we have fixed for this week's update:
1.Item Parameters
Some of the parameters in certain items, including new armors, were totally out of balance, which we have not expected; we have revised them to be more balanced.
2.Level issue
We have found a critical issue in certain missions: in certain areas, the enemies weren't able to recognize the players at all; we have fixed such blind spots, as it was not intended.

We have announced yesterday that all houndsers who have purchased our game and DLCs will be provided with a Package of Gratitude. I would like to get into detail of this package in a form of Q&A.
Question 1 : What is a Package of Gratitude?
Answer : It is a package item to show our gratitude towards houndsers of Steam.
Question 2 : Who will get this item?
Answer : All houndsers who have bought and played Hounds : The Last Hope on Steam store before the game makes transition to free to play.
Question 3 : What exactly is in this item?
Answer : 300 P-Weapons Tokens, 300 P-Armors Tokens, and 3 Premium Material Box.
Question 4 : What can you do with these items?
Answer : After the update, you will be able to create Weapons(Gabriel series) and Armors(Field OPS Specialist series, Brute Force Assault series) which are planned to be released along with the December update.
Weapons or Armors might be added on future updates, and you'll be able to use your items to create them as well, if you choose to save them for later.
Question 5 : How is it going to be distributed?
Answer : We will be sending them via in-game mail.

[Patch Released!]December Update Patch Notes

The long awaited December update is almost ready to be released!
Here are the details of this month's update, which also includes the maintenance schedule.

Update Contents

Special Announcement from the dev team
2. New in-game shop
An in-game cash shop will be added to the game. You can access this shop when you are at the village, or at your private room, by clicking the green button on the bottom right of your screen.
This special shop will sell various premium items, including various DLCs, such as avatars, equipment-related ingredient items, and other expendable items that will certainly help you along your mission.
(※Cash Shop requires microtransactions for it's items.)
3. New Token items
Introducing P-Weapons Token & P-Armors Token: they are the new tokens that enables you to forge powerful prototype weapons and armors. While they are available for purchase at the brand-new cash shop, they also can be obtained by combining fragments of these tokens.
You can obtain P-Weapons Token Fragments by playing daily missions, and P-Armors Token Fragments by crushing Unique class armors(Tier 2~Tier 4). Collect 5 fragments, and you will earn 1 token by combining them.
4.New Weapons
All new "Gabriel" series will be added to the game. These weapons can be forged by using P-Weapons Tokens.
5.New Armors
All new "Field OPS Specialist" & "Brute Force Assault" series will be added to the game. These armors can be created by using P-Armors Tokens.
6.New Items
Express Time Reducers have been added to the game.
You can purchase these time reducers at the in-game cash shop.

7. Bugs and Glitches
We have fixed couple of level related glitches and bugs.

An Important Announcement From The Dev Team to Houndsers
First of all, I would like to apologize for being under the dark for couple of weeks; as I'm writing this announcement, we are finalizing our update patch and polishing it as much as we can, before we can finally release this giant update we are preparing for you. Thanks to the weeks of hard effort, we now have a firm list of update and contents, which we will announce in a separate announcement.
With that said, there is an important news I would like to share with all of you.
Starting from December 19th 6 pm PST, Hounds: The Last Hope will switch to free to play.
While we have tried our best to maintain the game as it is now, we have decided as such to further enrich the user community and enhance accessibility, by making the base game free to play.
By switching to free to play, the following will change:
1. Hounds: The Last Hope will be free to play.
2. All DLC maps will be provided free of charge.
3. All DLCs (weapons, avatars, etc.) at Steam store will be unavailable for purchase, as the base game switches to free to play.
4. This update will not change your DLC items: you will be able to use ALL of the in-game items obtained via DLCs, just like as it is now.
It is our top priority that your current DLCs will remain the same after the update.
5. An in-game shop will be implemented to add future DLCs and other useful items.
6. And most importantly, with the exception of avatars and certain items, you will be able to earn future contents (weapons & armors, etc.) completely free.
This decision was a very tough one, and was not made lightly; we know that we have price tagged this game and sold them to you. And with this decision, we are aware that many of you might feel disappointed.
To make this up to all of you, we are going to provide a package of gratitude to every houndsers who have bought Hounds : The Last Hope, as we release our December update. This package will include in-game items, brand new item tokens and materials, which will be available on the newly implemented shop. With it, you will be able to earn new weapons and armors, and combine it to your liking.
And more than anything else, thank you for supporting us throughout the year; we are ever grateful because of your support and having fun playing our game.
Your dedication is the main source of energy that fuels us forward, and we are here thanks to you.
