Hotfix patch uploaded for 0.1.16

We've uploaded a patch that addresses a couple of issues posted out by you, the teeming millions in the last 24 hours.

-- It was possible to run out of food on Krunchon -- if enough fell into the drink, eventually leaving you stranded.
-- The button on the title screen for the tutorial has been removed. We've changed so many things with the main game loop that the existing tutorial made no sense. We'll circle back to that ASAP.


While a "Load" button now appears on the main screen, it currently does nothing. We're very busy overhauling that bit of code. We expect that to be fixed with the next update.

New Manual Version Posted


We've updated the manual to reflect the many changes in the game since it was first put together in August. Check it out here! You'll also find a link to it on the store page.

Alpha 0.1.16 reporting for duty!



Lots of UI changes headline tonight's update. Dollars, XP and current rank now appear in the toolbar. The quiz has been further tweaked. The lounge now displays lifetime stats on things like number of rockets launched, crashed and landed.

Leveling up is no longer an optional flight goal; it happens automatically when you reach the required XP. Leveling up always results in unlocking a rocket part.

Alpha 0.1.4: Launch the Goldfish!



Alpha 0.1.14 was released last night, with quite a few changes and additions.

Additions include two new rocket parts: Boomerang Fins and the Goldfish Bowl.
There is now a Steam Achievement for acing the quiz.

Magic coins have a 50% chance of awarding you money or offering the aforesaid quiz, which is worth a lot more if you can manage 75% or better.

There are now a varierty of instruments and tools unlock-able on Terra's surface. The recycle bin speeds up the process of selecting the food items you want. The scale allows you to weigh food. (Hint: the calorie analyzer rocket part will work with any size food item -- bigger food items weigh more!)

Alpha 0.1.13 "Lucky 13" marks one week on Steam!


Lots of changes, both visible and not. First of all, food loaded into the rocket now costs money! You'll have to watch your finances a little more carefully than before.


The hangar continues to get more polished. Locked parts are shown, along with hints at what mission you need to perform to unlock them. More detailed stats of the parts you have unlocked are also now shown.


The launch screen now features a more complete mission debrief, with a summary showing the overall flight result, along with a breakdown of the individual flight goals, and whether they succeeded or if not, why they failed. Hopefully this will take some of the mystery out of things.


Finally, we've started tweaking the Deep Space UI. In this pass we've simply concentrated on trying to make the prompts for the controls a little more clear.

Along with these changes are lots of bug squashing, big and small. I'm looking forward to adding a bunch of new rocket parts in the next days, as well as open up a couple more planets.

Tonight's patch is mostly small enhancements and bug fixes. The biggest change is the rocket parts depreciate in value once you leave the haggard, and even more so when you crash them, so be careful out there!

Hint: Baby likes corn, Mamma likes cheese.

The latest release features several UI tweaks, as well as the replacement of that ugly clipboard Nutrition Info Panel modal with a much cooler looking Rocket Fuel Info Billboard in the scene. Also, now you can hover over the rocket parts in the Hangar to get a description of what they do.

What happened to 0.1.10? That went up yesterday, as a hotfix for a bunch of bugs.

Hot Fix 0.1.8 now live

We just uploaded a patch for HWHS that should fix the "Copter-Stuck-in-side-of-Rocket" bug that some users have reported.

Also included in this patch is support for a few new Steam Achievements.
