htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary Beta Testing & New Release Date
Hi Everyone,
We would first like to thank everyone who participated in the htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary beta test, as we received a great amount information that helped our devs focus on fixing issues for the launch. There were a couple of common issues that beta testers experienced:
- 60 FPS was causing gameplay to react incorrectly to how the game was intended to be played.
- Framerate drops when switching to Umbra mode.
We felt that it would be best to move the release date from April 25th to May 18th. We are working closely with our devs and we want to make sure that the launch of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary will not have any issues performing in various PC specs.
Furthermore, we are opening up a 2nd beta testing period for this title and we would like to reach out to our community for their help. Please follow the Google Form link below to apply for the 2nd round of beta testing (make sure to remove the space between "." and "g"):

The beta testing application will be open from April 22nd - April 25th. We will be sending out an email on May 2nd to those who qualify for 2nd round beta testing. If you participated in the first beta, you are still eligible to join for round 2! Once we pick beta testers for the 2nd round, we will send out the beta key of the newest build on the same day. The beta testing period will be from April 25th - May 4th.
Again, we apologize for pushing the release date back further, and I hope you can understand that these delays are the result of our team wanting the best possible htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary experience on PC.

Hi Everyone,
We've learned a lot about releasing games on Steam from our recent launch of Disgaea PC, and have decided to take time to apply what we've learned to make sure that the release of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary runs up to our standards and yours. Consequently, the original launch date of March 14th will now be pushed back to April 25th. This gives our team time for more testing and to smooth out any rough patches before launch. We hope you can understand the reasoning for the postponement and we apologize for any inconvenience.
