Human: Fall Flat - Minor Update: ONLINE CO-OP and more

GOOD NEWS, the ONLINE CO-OP is back!

Hi Humans,

Following the release of the new level "Dark", some of you were asking for the online CO-OP option to be back, we've worked on this and bring it back to the game in this update!

We've also worked on various features and bug fixes, Please find below the complete patch notes of the update.

Minor Feature / Game Mode Additions:

  • Brought online CO-OP back as a feature after fixing numerous bugs associated with its functionality.
  • Fry Me to the Moon’ achievement now available to unlock.

Bug Fixes:

  • Game Object – Fixed the 'legendary' unbreakable second padlock in the Castle level (that's accessible through the stone bridge behind the Stables checkpoint).
  • Multiplayer – Fixed an issue where players couldn’t connect to their Friends via the Friend Games menu if their Friend was in another player’s game.
  • Multiplayer – Fixed an issue where repeatedly joining & cancelling between Public and Friends lobbies caused major sync issues in-game and in split-screen.
  • Multiplayer – Public Invite only lobbies no longer allow people to join them without having an invite.
  • Mac – “Dark” – Fixed the amount of light that was appearing from the Mansion when Bloom was enabled in the Advanced Video Options.
  • VFX – “Dark” – Fixed the smoke VFX for the FrankenBob launch. It should now correctly resemble the smoke you see on the lit torches elsewhere in the level.
  • Fixed minor graphical issues seen throughout the “Dark” level including misplaced polygons, flickering and incorrect textures.

Human: Fall Flat FREE content update - Days are getting "Dark"...

Hi fellow Humans,

Hope you've all had a fabulous week-end.

We are super-pleased to officially announce the release of the new content update that includes a brand NEW LEVEL called "Dark" and four new Christmas skins to customise your Bob!

We also want to inform you that more content for Human: Fall Flat is planned for 2019, including new levels and skins... so stay tuned!

"Dark" takes place as Bob is dreaming of a night-time area, set under the haunting glow of a full moon and complete with classic horror tropes and imagery. With all sorts of tricky puzzles and devious contraptions, "Dark" will have you messing with magnets, electricity and, of course, Bob’s signature wobbly physics! This stage is available to play in single-player, two-player CO-OP and online multiplayer modes.

EDIT: this level will be available next year on ALL consoles too ;).

Watch the official trailer of "Dark" here

Launching alongside "Dark" today is an all new set of four Christmas themed skins: the Christmas Pudding, Turkey, Present and Gingerbread Woman.

Finally, this update brings also a lot of minor improvements (CO-OP button, lobby friend filtering, multiplayer name tags, level carousel changes etc.) plus a lot of bug fixes.

We hope you'll enjoy this new update and wish you a happy festive season!

Thank you again for all your support.

Bob'ly yours,

Tomas Sakalauskas & Curve Digital

  • Thai,
  • Indonesian

But that's not all! We're pleased to bring new skins for you to customise your Bob for the Halloween season, 2 models and 3 head features to be exact.

EDIT:

Next to these new bits, within the small team of Human: Fall Flat, we've made the decision to discontinue the Linux support so we can focus on new content and features for Windows and Mac versions.

Although Linux will no longer receive updates, this doesn’t mean you can no longer play Human: Fall Flat. The game will still run fully on your Linux systems and can be re-installed at any time.

We appreciate the frustration of the community, but we’ll always be on hand to help if you have any questions/issues regarding the Linux version of Human: Fall Flat. Always feel free to message us on Steam or Twitter if you have further questions.Thank you for your understanding!

Wish you a spooky and wobbly Halloween time.
See you very soon for more surprises! ;)

Hello fellow Humans,
We know that you want new content. Tomas (the lone and single dev) is working hard on bringing a fully integrated Workshop to Human: Fall Flat.
But (as I mentioned above) he's a one-man team, and while he is fantastic at what he does, it will always take some time to do so.
Please know that we here at Curve Digital and Tomas love your enthusiasm towards Human: Fall Flat and that we do hear all your requests. Thanks for your patience.

Seasonal Greetings and a Happy New Year

Hello Humans,

It's incredible to see the journey Human: Fall Flat has made since being completed in the Summer of 2016.
You were so active and supportive that I wanted to say thank you by releasing the Aztez level and with so many requests I could not help but research online multiplayer.
It seemed impossible (due to the game mechanics and trying to keep it all synchronised) but thanks to your support and kind words we managed to get a working online multiplayer mode into Human: Fall Flat.

The next most prominent feature request is to add Steam Workshop, which was attempted one year ago.
But due to the added multiplayer mode causing the game to change so much, the old workshop implementation became pretty much useless.
After seeing so much demand, and in response to all your hard work unlocking the Seasonal Holiday skins, today I announce that the workshop will be the thing that I will dedicate myself to working towards AFTER the holidays.
The exact features and functionality will become more evident after some experiments are carried out in the new year. Stay tuned to find out more then.

In the meantime, I leave you all with one more present challenge.
If you can all collectively deliver 30,000 present, you'll unlock for every Steam user the Santa skin, just in time for Christmas.
And a special present for all the most voted for community skin, the Ninja, will be available tomorrow as our Christmas present to all.

Happy Holidays
Tomas Sakalauskas

P.S Curve will be picking out random winners from the community skin suggestions; they will contact said winners in the new year.

This weeks challenges and future community skin

Hello Humans,

Your present collecting skills show no signs of slowing down.
So this weekend you have the opportunity to unlock more skin for all of the Steam Community to have.

Today sees you gathering presents for the Knight

We're not going to show you Saturday's or Sunday's skin just yet, but just know that neither will need saving nor swashbuckling lessons.

Also, thank you for all of your suggestions for the community skins.
One has been chosen and we want you to help pick the second one.
This coming Saturday on our twitter account @HumanFallFlat, you will find a poll going up live at 7pm BST.
This is your chance to choose which of the four skins will be our second Community Skin.

Edit: The poll can be found HERE

Also while you are there, drop us a follow to keep up to date on all news regarding Human: Fall Flat.

Regards,
Tomas Sakalauskas

Over 3 Million!!!!

Hello Humans,

And a massive festive cheer, you've all managed to collect over 3 million presents since the Steam Holiday Event started.
So to celebrate every day from 5pm GMT, you all have the chance to unlock a new item for the whole community to enjoy.
Today's item is the Firefighters skin, will you be able to calm your fiery passions enough to deliver 100,000 present?
If you do, this Skin will be unlocked for all Steam users to enjoy.

Also, we need your help.
We want YOU to help decide what the final two skins that you may unlock will be.
If you head over to the forums now we have a new post set up, reply with your idea in there, you have until 10th of December 11.59pm GMT to do so.
We will then chose two skins for you all to try and unlock before the end of the Steam Holiday Event.
If your skin gets chosen, you may get a special surprise (more info in the forum post).

So what are you waiting for, deliver those present and give us your ideas for skins you would like to see.

Regards,
Tomas Sakalauskas
