Controller Support and Achievements!!!

Hello everyone!

I know that I have been away for quite sometime.
Lots of things are occupying me... however, heres a big update I worked on for the past month ːsteamhappyː

I finally managed to make the game work with Playstation and Xbox Controller without the need to use DS4Windows or Steam Input :D
The game generally recognizes your controller and you can control everything within the game without the need to use Mouse and Keyboard.

Another thing... ACHIEVEMENTS ARE BACK!
The game is fully polished so in that case I had to implement Steam Achievements as the last thing.
The game at early stage had achievements but I had to remove it because it brought a lot of bugs, now that everything out of the way and the game is good to go, I had to bring it back to add re-playability.

Speaking of bugs, when I got back into the project I noticed a significant amount of dumb ass bugs that appeared because of the pause menu functionality so I had to sit through it and fix many bugs!
Thankfully everything works fine.

A lot of you contacted me about a weird jitter effect that the game had when it runs stable 60 FPS, unfortunately I tried my best to find a solution for it but Unity Engine runs things in a weird way... I think its because I implemented things like physics not in a way that it should be but its alright, I tested the game with 60 FPS and it still runs fine but its preferable to have a better PC to run it above 60 FPS to avoid such issue.

There are a total of 17 Achievements to be unlocked
3 of them are Hidden (One of them... You got to think outside the box to unlock it xD)

I worked really hard and put some effort to make the game look good and presentable... I hope you all return to play the game once more and hunt down those Achievements.

Far and Beyond DLC - Biggest Update Yet

Too Early? Heres a surprise...
The whole project have reached to GOLDEN STAGE with the new DLC "Far and Beyond"
It was suppose to release on February but the project is finished earlier than expected.

So what about this new DLC?
It has new story cutscenes that wasn't added before and a challenging boss... also a TRUE ENDING.
This new boss is basically a remake of an old boss battle I made as a prototype for this game, I didn't include it in the final game as it does not have any impact... until now!
I suppose should've called this a Director's Cut but oh well... Far and Beyond is more appealing.

As for the rest of the chapters:
- Physics has been changed and drastically improved so glitches like getting through walls and etc won't occur
- Missing voice lines have been added such as Alpha's voice attacks in Chapter 5
- Motion Blur has been added but little strength (meaning that the amount of it won't disturb the gameplay)
- Fixed an issue where anti-aliasing does not apply on some scenes
- Fixed an issue where sometimes the scene plays but the cutscenes has delay startups
- NightWolf's Dodge velocity has been increased in Chapter 5
- Fixed an issue where Inpu's clothes disappear in certain frames in Chapter 1
- Added new artworks in Gallery section and... a bit of a surprise

I look forward for you all to try out HUMANS CONNECT as this is the best that I can make through out 9 years of work on this project alone

Quality of a Life Time Update (Thank You ❤)

I just finished working on an update that improves the gameplay by miles!
Basically... Pause Menu... YAY 🤣

It took me a while to work on a pause menu because Unity's method of doing a pause
menu seems convoluted, but it kind of worked out.
So the pause menu includes the control manual so that you can double check
the controls before engaging in battle.
Speaking of Control Manual, I did a remake on the design and now hopefully
its looking more appealing and less confusing.

Lastly, I did other bug fixing and Added combat voices for Alpha that was
missing during Chapter 5 (Julia's Part)

Overall I think this is the most polished version of HUMANS CONNECT
going back a year ago... the game looked bad and unplayable on the release
but with your support and a lot of hard work I've put into this, the game finally
looks exactly how I envisioned it. It was impossible for me as a one man army
to do everything but thankfully it all worked out.

Once again, Thank you all... I am really grateful and very happy that you checked
out HUMANS CONNECT and shared it to others.

HUMANS CONNECT "Relinquish" DLC Release

Ladies and Gentlemen

The Final DLC titled "Relinquish" (Chapter 5) Has been released
The game is in a complete state.
Final conclusion awaits you all.

So much has been changed in the game with tons of bug fixes
and additional content. This was probably the longest period of
development I've ever had with this game, I wanted to do my best
to produce a great game with appealing story and gameplay.

I really hope from the bottom of my heart that the game the way
it is currently pleases you all, if so... its what makes me happy
the most and worth the time, love and effort I've put into this project.

Additional Content "SHADOW CALL"

Hey all, the DLC "Shadow Call" just came out and this is going to be the list of changes I made for the previous battle stages and what's new

Chapter One:
- NightWolf Runs Faster
- Camera target lock Angle view slightly changed
- NightWolf after CounterAttack recovers faster
- little bit of performance improvement

Second Chapter:
- Julia's Dodge now goes more forward so that you can escape Inpu's Scythe easily
- lots of Graphical improvement
- Inpu on his second form now is vulnerable to parry, this allows the player to use his Negate parry without worrying about getting hit

Third Chapter:
- Inpu's Dodge speed has increased and he recovers much faster
- no more invisible walls... Stage is infinite

For the new content which is the DLC (Chapter Four):

- Two new boss fights have been included. First is playable as NightWolf and second as Inpu.
- NightWolf has the same move list while Inpu's move list is completely different with new mechanics.
- First boss is fairly easy but the second one is tricky and gets hard at times 😏
- New cutscenes have been added to progress further in the story and explains some of the things that didn't make sense.

That will be the whole DLC, Thank you so much for your support and I look forward from many of you to tell me their experience with the new boss fights 😁🙏

HUMANS CONNECT AUGUST UPDATE

Hello Everyone! ːsteamhappyː

Forgive me for staying silent for too long
I've heard about the problems and read the reviews, it seems that a lot of players are facing issues in HUMANS CONNECT. Therefore I started working on an update the month after I released the game. I am very sorry for taking so long because I develop everything on my own and its a struggle I have to handle.

This update fixes a lot of problems in Combat system of the game. I also added some graphical improvements. Music in this game have been changed to match the environment, battle and cutscenes as well... giving the game some identity. Certain cutscenes have been changed to fix the storytelling because the version I have released was ultimately rushed and it made no sense.

I also included some hints in the game to let you all make your own theories on what is going on in the story... meaning guessing what would happen next in the upcoming DLC free content I am working on :)

I hope the game gives you a better experience and hopefully make you have a good time with it. Just keep in mind that it will not look perfect again because I do everything alone. The DLC I am working on will hopefully be released in few months (not sure how long).

Have fun playing the game and encourage other to play it as well because the game is FREE.
