Hello everyone. We pushed a pretty big update a few days ago to the game and made it playable. We've listened to all of you and we've reworked some of the combat on a few levels, improved loading times for 83% of the levels, and fixed a good deal of bugs. The Past, The Present, and The Future of HDTF

We want to talk about HDTF, what happened and what will happen.
Two and a half years ago, Berkan had the idea to make a short film about HDTF, and after that idea, he chose to make it into a hl2 mod. After that, He started to make a small project which started to get attention. He pondered if he should make something bigger.
The Indigogo campaign was started and raised nothing, but he didn't want to give up on it. He had to make his idea a reality. He went and found an investor, a company, and a team. That is when the actual project started.
After a development of almost 2 years of an ambitious project, when we came close to the end, we started to get huge pressure and receive harassment from the community. We also had lies circulate from the old team, as well as various other sources about our game.
This pushed us to release the game as soon as possible to prove our innocence. On the day of the release, it was a big shock for all of us when we saw the game on streams and realizing it wasn't the game that we had on our end. We may have failed on file organization, as we are still trying to figure out the best way to put everything together, and push a massive update.
After the game is released, people started to harass us even more and generate more lies about us. No one has even contacted us to hear about our side of the story in a long time. To be honest, we don't actually think that people care about anything but the drama since none of the responses that we've given has been shared with the community.
Now, what will happen is we will continue working on this project. We will release the actual version of the game we were supposed to release, and even after that, we will continue working on it with feedback from the community. At the end of the day, we are all Half-Life fans, and we all want to make a decent game. After we fix everything, we ask that you give us another chance.
We cannot express how sorry we are, we will do our best to fix it and we will appreciate and take any help we can get from the community. We will not stop until HDTF is the game that is supposed to be and just like we did not give up at the beginning, we will not give up at the end.

-Dev texture brush on metro removed.
-Alaska cubemaps fixed.
-Missing textures fixed.

-Adam's mysterious twin brother is no more in the metro.

-Flickering model textures in urban fight level fixed(for trucks and tents).

Hello everyone! It's been one hell of a journey for us these last two years working on the project, it's finally coming out tomorrow 8AM Pacific Time. We all hope you will enjoy with the game we made. We'd also like to tell you something else, that we'll be continuing to work on the project with your feedback!

At the end of the day, we just want to make a good game as we love Half-Life. We are more than aware that HDTF takes a unique road of its own, but that's what HDTF is about.. a whole new experience, a new different perspective. Release Date
Hello everyone! After jumping the release date back two times, we finally came to the third, and final time.
This time, it's not really on our side. We have occasionally been in contact with Valve, and since its finished, they have to play and review the game themselves. Right after they finish the game, we will be releasing it. We are setting a new release date for HDTF, but it also might came out before that date! So don't forget to follow our Steam page and Discord for latest news!
We apologize for the inconvenience for the delays. The first delay was trimming down the file size, which we did around almost 10 GB! So game will be less than 50Gb right now. After that, we wanted to be sure the quality was the best it could be, spending time with extra quality checking. This final delay is out of our hands though, and for that, we sincerely apologize. As a sign of our sincerity, we will be changing the 10% discount to a 15% discount at the release!
Thank you everyone who support us along the way. We really hope this is the last delay. The new date we set is February 21st, but again, it might also release earlier than that. Stay tuned!

Hello all, we are once more delaying the release of our game. It was not an easy decision to make, but we want to make sure our game is ready. We also didn't realize this until a few hours ago, but we have 50 game levels, excluding the game tutorial, so that's some good news!
Over all, we don't want to rush and publish an unfinished game, despite the corporate standard that many producers follow today. Plus, it wouldn't be a Half-life game if it wasn't released fashionably late. Thank you for your support and kindness, and we are sincerely sorry for the delay.
