We would also like to take our time apologizing for taking a considerate amount of time polishing our game and making our fans wait for the official launch.



Today, we would like to bring some exciting news.
We are soon launching the biggest update for Hunter’s Arena as we prepare for our official launch.
For those of you who saw Hunter’s Arena showcased in PlayStation’s State of play, we are very close to having you slay demons and fight other Hunters again.

We are not only launching on Steam but also preparing for cross-play with PlayStation.

Finally on August 3rd, Hunter’s Arena will release on PlayStation Plus and we will see countless users fighting again to achieve victory in the deadly arena.

We are aware of matchmaking issues and the lack of playerbase with our game.
However, that will no longer be an issue for you to enjoy your future hunt.

We are preparing an equivalent update to Steam as on console on August 3rd.

We switched from a traditional 60 player to 30 player Battle Royale Solo and Trio Modes.
The map was also shrunk down for quality of life purposes.
You will encounter never seen before transportation systems and special buffs throughout the map.
Our one of a kind dungeons and Boss Demons are still present for you to explore and hunt.



You will experience a more exciting fast-paced battle in the all new arena we prepared.
Never let your guard down and hunt everything that crosses your path.

[All New Combat System]


We added an all new mechanic that will spice up the dynamic in our combat system, Quickstep.
By using Quickstep at the right moment, you can easily turn the fight the around



However, keep in mind that using Quickstep consumes a large amount of your Stamina.
Use it carefully as it could also leave you prone to long range Hunter’s projectile attacks.

[Optimization]


To enable smooth cross-play during gameplay, we focused on improving Optimization as well as updated Minimum System Requirements.

Now, players will be able to enjoy Hunter’s Arena on lower spec. PC.

We have also separated Guard and Martial Arts Counter to different keys and added weapon skins for quality of life purposes.



Without further ado, experience an all new Hunter’s Arena on August 3rd!

Last but not least, we are performing a Server Maintenance until August 3rd for our biggest update.
When we come back on August 3rd, it will finally be the official launch with the new updates.
Prices may differ at the official launch.
We are also holding a 50% discount for two weeks to celebrate the official launch.

1. How can I take part in the Free Weekend event?


Once the Free Weekend starts, you can install and play the game for free using the “Play game” button on the Hunters Arena Steam page.


2. Are there any changes compared to the Early Access version?


Hunter's Arena has undergone many various changes based on player feedback that completely changed the flow of the game.

[Changes/Improvements]

- You can now enjoy Hunter's Arena at a much higher and more stable framerate than ever before.
- A new FFA(Free-for-all) mode has been added in which 4 players can fight to the death on a small battlefield.
- To make it easier for beginners to adapt to the game, the overall pathing and game flow has been improved and became very intuitive.
- Unnecessary game elements removal/change:

  • Potion grades removed
  • Simplified equipment system
  • Auto skill lvl-up
  • Various other quality of life improvements


3. Can I play with my friends during the Free Weekend period?


Players who already own the game can enjoy Hunter's Arena with anyone who just joined during the Free Weekend.


4. Is the data accumulated during the Free Weekend going to be deleted later?


During the Free Weekend period, all the accumulated data and purchased items are being saved and will be available to use in case you purchase the game later.


5. Anything else I should know about the Free Weekend?


You can get 10,000 SP every day for 4 days straight during the Free Weekend.
Use the SP obtained from the event to purchase unique character skins and emotions.

1. Auto Skill Lv-up
- Skills will level-up automatically every few levels.
- Super Skill will be learned automatically after reaching level 20.
※ The Skill Instructor NPC located at the village has been removed from the game.
You can enable/disable the option by going to Settings- Gameplay- Automatic skill enhancement

2. The ability system (G key) has been removed from the game
- The ability system has been temporarily removed from the game. The system will be reworked and added again in the future.

3. Interaction changes
- Opening treasure chests and interaction with NPCs can now be done by simply tapping "F".

4. Equipment system simplified

[Before]
- Increased Weapon attack/defense power
- Increased Skill attack/defense power
- Increased Weapon & Skill attack/defense power

[After]
- Increased Weapon & Skill attack/defense power

The equipment system was confusing to some of the players, which is why we decided to combine two types of equipment into one.

5. Item changes
- The material to enhance an item from epic (purple) to legendary (golden) grade now requires 1 Pure Power Crystal.
- A separate visual effect has been added to make the usable items in the inventory stand out.
- The saddle item can now be used by putting it into a quick slot.
- Weapons and armor equipment will now drop randomly regardless of the drop location.

- The treasure map price has been changed to 100 gold. (Updated)

6. Potion system changes
- The existing potion upgrade system has been removed.
- Lesser HP potion is now called an "HP potion".
- 2 potions charges will now be used upon reaching level 10 (Regular HP potion replacement)
- 3 potions charges will now be used upon reaching level 20 (Greater HP potion replacement)
- The maximum number of potion stacks has been changed to 230.
- The cost of potion replenisher has been changed from 500 to 600, and the number of charges from 30 to 15.
- The number of potion charges you start the game with has been changed from 70 to 50.

7. Boss monster rewards
- Legendary equipment now drops with a 100% chance when defeating a boss monster.

1 random Legendary Equipment

[Trio]
2 random Legendary Equipment + low chance to get 1 additional drop.

8. Ping indicator
- FPS and network delay time (ping) will now be displayed after turning on the "Show FPS" option.

9. Tier
- Ranking Point will no longer be reset to 0 after dropping from Legend Tier to Diamond Tier.
- However, Ranking Points will not be displayed on the Profile nor on the Ranking page when dropping to Diamond Tier. (No changes are applied in Diamond or other Tiers)
- Getting back on the Legend Tier will show the points again.





1. Simplified early game
- Starting equipment items have been removed from the game.
- Due to the item removal, the equipment merchant NPC in the village has been removed from the game.
- The starting gold has been changed from 1000 to 200 gold.

2. Battle Royale level restrictions
- The character level restriction for the Battle Royale Solo/Trio is now level 20.
- The character level requirements for skill level ups have been slightly reduced (as mentioned earlier the Lv-up process is automatic):
- Required experience for levels 1-20 has been increased. (Updated)

3. Combat system changes
- The Escape skill's cooldown has been reduced from 150 to 60 seconds.
- Super skill can now be used while using skills or performing basic attacks.
- Sway and Basic attacks can now be used mid-animation while getting up from the ground.
- Run attack can now only be performed when reaching the maximum speed in the run mode.





- The smoke bomb's icon and actual modeling have been modified to be the same.
- Fixed an issue where you could use Mumyung's skill #4 again if you cancel the skill animation.
- Fixed a problem where lock-on mode was not deactivated when using the Gyeonjo's skill #3
- Fixed an issue where some attacks could not hit the enemy when Mir was using skill #4 on an airborne enemy.
- The item throwing mode is now canceled after your character takes damage.
- Your party members can now help with resurrecting a teammate at the altar. (If you help to resurrect, the resurrection will happen faster)
- Fixed a bug where players could not zoom when using the mini-map.
- Fixed a bug where certain monsters were inactive in BR mode.
- Fixed a bug where the ally's health bar and icon were sometimes not displayed in trio mode.
- Fixed a bug where you could use Escape Skill while getting attacked with a super skill in certain situations.





- The items can now be dragged and dropped in the tutorial
- Your character's name will no longer show on the HP bar in Tag mode
- The player's country shown can now be changed directly in the profile page
- You can now land closer to the dungeons when using the Glider
- You can now use the 'Glider Summoning Stone' near the dungeons
- All red zones appearing at the beginning and during the game have been removed
- The Field, Dungeon Monster's location, and its numbers per location have been changed
- HP bar will no longer show when removing the UI in replay
- HP bar will no longer show when removing the UI in replay
- The nickname information has been modified to be updated on the ranking page.
(However, it is updated only by playing the game.)
- The location of the general merchant in the village has been changed. (will now appear near the NPCs in the center of the village)
- Equipment merchant NPC has been removed.
- Flinching caused by barrier damage has been changed to trigger only when using the potion.
- All treasure chests have been changed to randomly drop Pure Power Crystals.

- The potion quickslot UI is now shown as "current number of stacks / maximum number of stacks"

3. Inventory improvement
- Gold, power crystal and pure power crystals will now be displayed in the inventory.
※ The number of inventory slots has been reduced from 30 to 25.




- Fixed an issue with rapid stamina consumption when defending against Dara's skill #1
- Fixed an issue where Mimi's skill #3 (additional press) would not activate when hitting 2 or more enemies.
- Fixed an issue in Free for All mode, where characters could move/attack during the entering animation.
- Fixed an issue where regular and greater HP potions could not be purchased while the inventory was full.
- Fixed the barrier "desync" issue.
- Fixed a bug where a glider could not be summoned in some areas of the world.
- An issue where “Free for All” in the profile match record was not localized by country has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue where replays were being played when clicking Highlight / Death Cam in the result window.
- Fixed an issue with character visual bug when visibility was set at below 50% (Settings → Graphics →Visibility).




- The movement has been improved when using Dragon Tornado.
- "Telescope" item has been removed from the game.
- You can now check other players' nicknames and health bars through replays.
- Death cam will now be shown from your killer's point of view instead of yours.
- The function name for the Spacebar in controls guide has been changed "Quickstep" → "Quickstep/Rise".
- Equipment obtained from bosses is now shown as: “Obtained boss equipment” → “Legendary equipment acquired”
-The message that appears when assisting in FFA mode has been changed to "FFA-Assist" → "Assisted a Kill".

Hunter’s Arena: Legends Beta Season Plans




Greetings, Hunters!

We’re here to briefly introduce Hunter’s Arena: Legends Beta Season and a summary of what you can expect to see.

Detailed content will be provided later through a separate notice.



Ranking Page & Beta Season


We have opened the ranking pages per each mode with the release of update v 1.0.26.5

In mid-August, Hunter’s Arena: Legends beta season will begin.
The Battle Royale Solo/Trio, Tag Mode, and Free-For-All rankings and tiers will be displayed as described in the previous announcement.

Also, with the start of the beta season, all current tiers and scores will be reset (a soft reset). However, the internal MMR(matchmaking rating), which determines the level of beginners, and experts, will be maintained.

[Tier adjustment due to soft reset]

  • Legend → Platinum
  • Diamond → Gold
  • Platinum, Gold, Silver → Silver
  • Bronze → Bronze



So what is Beta Season?


This beta season is scheduled to run for 6 to 7 weeks, and the official season implementation will be decided depending on the degree of completeness of the project.
However, we will be providing rewards to players for participating in the Beta season.

1. Regardless of the mode, a brand new character’s skin will be rewarded to players that reach a certain level or higher at the end of the beta season.
Also, in addition to new skins, additional rewards are under development.

2. SP points will be rewarded per rank at the end of the beta season.

※ During the season, players that are involved in any rule violations such as teaming and bug exploits are not eligible for season reward and could lead to bans.



We're preparing more ways for the players to be able to enjoy Hunter's Arena: Legends. We look forward to seeing you there.

1. Battle Royale Solo Beginner mode has been added.
- Beginner mode will have a lower difficulty compared to the existing Battle Royale solo mode, which will help the new players become familiar with Hunter's Arena gameplay.
- The newly added Beginner mode can only be played at Bronze rank.
- Beginner mode automatically starts after a certain time when two or more players enter.

2. The ranking page showing Legend rank players for each mode has been added.



3. The FFA match history will now be shown in your profile.




- In Battle Royale mode, experience needed for levels 21~30 has been increased by 15%.
- Attacks and Quickstep can now be used in the beginning/end of Run mode animation.
- The super skill used right after getting martial arts countered will now connect with the target.

- The damage of skill #2 has been slightly decreased (Grounded targets) 40/60/80/100/120 → 30/45/60/75/90

- Weapon attack damage scaling (from items/level) has been slightly reduced.
- The skill #2(actualized), projectile has been changed from a non- penetrating to a penetrating type.

Gyeonjo


- Weapon attack damage scaling (from items/level) has been slightly reduced.




- Fixed an issue where while attacking an enemy as Mumyung, tagging to another character would cause the basic attack to go on internal cooldown.
- If Yoongeon receives a run attack or a quickstep attack while using a skill, the skill cast is not canceled anymore.
- Fixed a phenomenon where Victory ceremony would not appear if the character was riding a horse.
- Fixed the phenomenon that the same character could be selected in tag mode.
- Fixed an issue in Battle Royal Trio mode, where after picking up and using 2 soul orbs to revive your teammates, you would still have 1 soul orb left unused.
- Fixed the issue where Aiden couldn't use skills for a certain time period after retrieving back the shields from skill #4.
- Fixed an issue where the enemy character's HP bar was visible after being hit by a flashbang.




- If you try to acquire a potion while holding the maximum number of potions, "The maximum number of potions has been reached." message will now appear.
- When selecting a game mode, a message regarding the game rules has been added.
- In case a player reached rank Legend, the ranking points gained will now be shown in the game result screen.
