Review issues

So here it is in one place.

I did not know the rules of steam. And as such people that have been afiliated with the game posted reviews in the past.

I had no malicious intent here, and where as ignorance is not a great excuss it is what happened.

All of the reviews that do not meet the policy of steam have been removed, and now knowing the rules will not happen again. And I whole heartedly appolgize for any hardship or confusion I have caused.

I truely hope that the community can forgive my ignorance. I really should have read more of the terms and services...


Update:

I have been thinking about this all day (and laying in bed thinking about it all night) and here is what I have come to...

If for any reason you feel that you have been mislead by any of the reviews in question I will refund your money no matter how long ago you made the purchase (if you can still get your refund from stream that is probably a better option as it will get it to you faster). This goes for all my games.

I am not here to hurt people. I want(ed) to make games in order to bring joy to people not sadness.

I will need 2 things in order for me to do this:

1) your steam receipt so that I know how much you spent (just send me a friend request and send me a screenshot of it).
2) your paypal account to send the money to (dont post it here, send me a friend request and share it privately).

I dont have a company paypal account but I will start setting one up tomorrow in order to facilitate this. If I run out of money, which is a very real posibility being as I have very very little right now, then you may need to wait until I get more, but I will get you refunded...

It doesnt matter that I did not know the reviews were improper, what matters is making sure no one was/is hurt by them. Again I appoligize in advance to anyone hurt by this.

Patch 1.10 - Game Modes, new art, Low rez optimization, and more!

Hey Everyone!

This patch is quite a bit larger than normal !!!

We are happy to introduce Game Modes:

- 4 Tower Mode: Beat the level with just 4 towers (normal is 5 towers)
- Break Neck Mode: Play the game with the pause button disabled, and the speed locked at 200%.

Game modes are available after beating a level. Game modes also have their own high scores, and are available for every difficulty level.

These additions/changes:

- Low rez textures are now in (at least 1 set, we will do more if we need to). This should make the game look much better for players playing at a lower rez. (Note: we are still working on fonts)
- More new textures for game models. These should enhance the look and feel of the game.
- More cheater combating (still more to come, but we are both making progress against cheating, as well as adding more safe guards)
- Text alignment fixes
- Load ballencing for older hardware, allowing the game to run on even older machines.
- Fixed bug where game speeds crashing the game.
- Fixed bug where the Fill Factory Achievement was not triggering properly
- Fixed a bug where full screen was not working properly under certain conditions.
- More misc fixes and improvements.

Patch v1.03 - Game size, efficiency, tool tips, and more!

Hey Everyone!

Today we released a large patch that includes:


- New Game art for the environments
- Key bindings for pause, path toggle, and camera movement.
- New and improved city and factory tool tips
- Levels not longer start when you que a tower to be built. The level now starts after a tower has been completed.
- Game speeds. We added 33% speed, 66% speed, 150% speed, and 200% speed.
- Ease of use control improvements.
- The game is now over 300MB smaller than it use to be.
- The game is now approimatly 20% more efficient than it use to be.
- Fixed a bug where you could accidently sell a tower.
- Tutorials now line up better in their windows (more work will be done here).
- The cursors have been reworked in order to stand out more.



Other things to note:

We have started the process of adding optimized UI elements for low res game play. Over the next week or so you will start to see improvements in how the game looks at low resolutions. We are also working to combat people cheating in our high scores.

Next week we will release 2 game modes (with their own leaderboards):

- 4 tower mode: play levels with just 4 towers instead of 5.
- BreakNeck Speed Mode: Play the level locked at 200% speed, and with a disabled pause button.

More modes are also being considered, please add your thoughts to what modes you would like to see.

Patch v1.02 - Background Music, Very Hard Mode, and Bug fixes

Hey Everyone!

Today we released a small patch that includes:

- More (and better) background music.
- Very hard mode, This mode is for the VERY best tower defense players.
- High scores will now expand past the top 50 as soon as you reach the bottom of the scroll box.
- High scores now display the position next to the name.
- Fixed a bug with mouse positioning when the game resolution is/was above windows resolution.
- Fixed a bug in the Hero Info display.
- Fixed a bug where certain specail characters in someones name could cause a crash.


We are hard at work trying to get bugs fixed, and quality of life improvements in. We are listening to all the feedback coming in, and the above items are all things the community asked for. That being said we are also working on a bonus levels area, and we are hoping to have the first bonus level out by mid next week. Bonus levels will be free of charge and we hope to put our 1-2 per month (for quite a few months) as we work on other things. Lastly we are starting to work on adding "Play Modes" to the game (like endlress mode), we would love to get some input on what play modes are desired.

Patch v1.01 Story and Ease of use

Hey everyone! Today we posted our largest patch sense the game went live including:

- Finishing out the story mode
- Fixing some screen resolution change issues
- Adding more buttons for ease of use
- Balancing changes (overall the game is easier now)
- Graphics optimizations (the game should run a few frames higher now)
- Flipped the orientation of the tabs where needed (do to player request)
- Fixed a few animations for mobs.
- Started adding anti cheating measures for high scores (its not prominent but we are gonna start working towards more detection and elimination of fake scores)
