We're saddened to inform you that after a year of service, we will be discontinuing Hyper Universe on PC starting December 19, 2018. This was not an easy decision to make; we've worked hard to make this game as great as it could possibly be, and have poured our hearts into building out this unique cast of lovable characters. We're incredibly grateful to our fans for playing—none of this would have been possible without you.
While the game will still be available to play via the Nexon Launcher and Steam until we officially close, we will not be making any more updates. Rank Mode will continue to run until the service closes, although no rewards for Rank Mode will be distributed after November. Starting on November 15, 2018, the Cash Shop will be unavailable. Hyper Universe for Xbox will remained unaffected.

TIMELINE
November 15, 2018: Cash Shop will be closed, and user refunds will be processed.
December 19, 2018: Hyper Universe servers will be closed, and players will not be able to play Hyper Universe anymore.
January 19, 2019: Customer Service support for Hyper Universe will be discontinued.
REFUND POLICY
Items purchased between August 18, 2018 and October 19, 2018 will be refunded the full price.
No refunds will be given to purchases made after this announcement.
Refunds will be made in NX; the same type of NX (Credit or Prepaid) that was used to make the original purchase.
Patch 4.6 is coming to Hyper Universe! Because we're gearing up for the exciting launch of Hyper Universe on Xbox One August 7, this is going to be a smaller patch. But we're thrilled to bring you a new batch of skins that were designed specifically with fan requests in mind, as well as new missions, a new season of Ranked Mode, and best of all, two new hypers!
NEW HYPERS
Maya and Kairos have joined the fight! Maya is a 6-year-old goddess and Support hyper who helps her team from atop her pet golem Toto, creating protective barriers for her allies and delivering destructive damage with Toto's rock-solid fists. Kairos, meanwhile, is a Specialist who uses his dark powers as a banished High Priest to channel the souls of the dead and inflict gradual damage on enemies. *Note that when reaching Lv. 10 with Kairos, he will not have a mastery skin to obtain.

RANKED MODE SEASON 2
Season 2 of Ranked Mode will kick off on July 12, 2018 and last through January 10, 2019.
Players who complete their 10 placement matches and reach Silver rank will receive Ignitia's Psion skin.
A bug has also been fixed that was preventing Ranked name tags from appearing properly when friends were off-line.
MAP UPDATE
In Delta Station, the blue transparent walls on the first floor of the map will now disappear after 520 seconds.

Using Dr. Schmidt’s Skills Effectively:
Dr. Schmidt relies on the players’ map awareness above all else. In order to effectively support your team you will need to utilize his Gene Sample skill as much as possible. This means moving around the map each time you see that your team has killed an enemy Hyper to check for a gene sample. You can stack up to 20 collected at a time but you’ll quickly burn through them as you activate his ultimate skill Gene Enhancement. Each time you activate Gene Enhancement you will be able to boost a specific stat for an ally. While you are moving around the map, you’ll want to use skills like Chemical Toss and Poison Infusion to slow down and weaken enemies, enabling your team to pick up easy kills. The key to being successful as Dr. Schmidt is not to sit in one place too long. He excels at moving around the map creating opportunities for your team, so keep that in mind!
Recommended Build:
Superior Gene Sample, Mystery Bottle, Executioner’s Cleaver, Medic System, Shock Knuckles, Blue Hyper Ring
Dr. Schmidt is no front line attacker. He relies on staying out of harm’s way whenever possible. To that end, you'll want to build him with as much Defense and Max Health as you can find. The first of his unique items that you’ll want to buy is Mystery Bottle. This item will increase the detrimental effects when it hits enemies and allow you to use it more often, thus enabling more opportunities for your team to take down an enemy Hyper. Superior Gene Sample not only raises the chances of your passive triggering on an enemy, but also provides a Gold and Defense bonus to Dr. Schmidt. Executioner’s Cleaver provides a nice damage buff for when you are poisoning the enemies repeatedly at range. The rest of the items such as Medic System, Shock Knuckles, and the Blue Hyper Ring provide a good mix of both Defense and Offense. You can also build him with movement speed and cooldown reduction if you are feeling adventurous, so get out there and build something interesting!
