Rollback netcode officially in the works!

Hey all,

It's been almost one year since the last HYPERFIGHT update, and I'm back with some good news: rollback netcode is officially in the works!

The game is being fully rewritten in Unity to serve as a better foundation for rollback, while also letting me more easily utilize third-party libraries and potentially port to consoles in the future. This does mean that it will be a while before the first playable beta, so please be patient.

Will there be new content? ...Potentially. Everything from v3.1 is going to be ported over exactly as it is at first, and from there I'll be deciding what needs to be changed or what should be added.

v3.1 "One More Final" Update Notes

v3.1 "One More Final" is now available!

GENERAL:
- Added option to disable Attack + Special shortcut for super moves
- Added timers on online character/stage select
- Added max palette per character option for custom palettes
- Fixed bug where pressing a direction + select on same frame in character select would show a different character than selected
- Fixed many hitbox + visual bugs and some custom palette issues
- Fixed some input buffering issues
- Renamed "Keyword" to "Password" for online lobbies

YO-YONA:
- Can get stunned by anything that can destroy Yo-yo Attack (Vince's Rolling Slice+ can now stun on hit)

DR. KERO:
- Super Swallow on super projectiles now gives 3 red points
- Reduced activation frame + total frames on Gravity Ball/Spit Back by 9 each

DON MCRON:
- Can now hold any button between Attack, Special, and Super after activating Clock Out to charge it

VINCE VOLT:
- Rolling Slice+ hitbox when colliding with projectiles fixed

SLIME BROS.:
- Using Fuse Crash with both Slimes out will now create an explosion on both
- Idle hitbox changed to be slightly higher (Vince Volt can now hit with Piercing Stab) and other small hitbox changes
- Fixed bug where using Split Shot would sometimes leave Blue Slime vulnerable when it should be invincible

REAPER ANGEL:
- Horizontal dash speed slightly increased
- Using Force Cancel will now auto-correct direction towards opponent
- Soul Slice and Crescent Moon can now destroy projectiles for Soul Meter
- Portal can now consume normal projectiles for meter and remain
- New super projectile move, Heavenrend, when at full meter

Thank you all for supporting the game for the past 2 years, it's been amazing watching the community grow. Unfortunately, this really will be the last content update. From now on I'll be focusing on new projects, and I hope you'll look forward to them! You can follow what I'm up to on my Twitter.

v3.0 "Finale" Update Notes

v3.0 "Finale", the final major update, is now available!

GENERAL:

- Two new characters: Slime Bros. and Reaper Angel
- Two new stages: Factory 51 and Celestial Lake
- Training Mode added to Solo Modes
- Expanded custom color support, including ability to recolor projectiles
- Hitbox adjustments on almost all characters
- Default music volume now 7, sfx volume now 8
- Added input buffer during delay lag/super flash
- Added attack buffer before round start (hold button to perform the attack right when round starts)
- Cut time to resume game in half after pressing the button
- Slightly adjusted some default character/projectile colors to support more custom colors

BUGFIXES:

- Fixed bug where CPU could be affected by player input
- Fixed player collision correction bugs
- Fixed bug where Yo-Yona's super would kill Dr. Kero frame 1 if used right next to him

SHOTO GOTO:

- Parry now works on supers
- Increased Rising Fist startup by 4 frames, recovery when landing by 4 frames
- Slightly changed default color 4

YO-YONA:

- Can now Anchor without having a yo-yo out
- Increased dashspeed
- Slightly changed default color 2

DR. KERO:

- Can now use Gravity Ball even with a sucked projectile (Down + Special is now Spit Back)

VINCE VOLT:

- Slightly decreased dashspeed

DARK GOTO:

- Increased Vengeful Fist startup by 4 frames, recovery when landing by 4 frames

Some small features could not make it in before release and will (hopefully) be added in within the next few days.
