This should give you an idea of what progression looks like in the game...
This is the Pixel Chambers, early on in the game this is the main place you snag them upgrades. And as you can see, the character is lame with only 4 pixels... Buuuuut the next upgrade is a PIXEL!

Getting the game "I Am 1" ready for release in April!
Here is a gif of an Execution attack, it has a chance to occur on a critical hit if the enemies HP is low enough!

The progress of the game is coming along well, and the game should be ready for release sometime in April!
In the meantime, here is a screenshot of the Info Menu, which will show you information about items and upgrades you have collected in the game!
When you select an item, an info box will appear and give a brief description of the item selected. This menu will also show your current Mission info and any temporary Buffs that are active!
