I, Hope

Patch 1.4

Hey guys!

As some of you might be aware, one of the last blocking-bugs in the game iwas that it was possible to get stuck in the slide-block puzzle on the Island of Strength. Well, after a huge amount of finagling, it's finally fixed! It was a doozy; that was one of the first puzzles I designed and as such, when I had the least coding knowledge. I wanted to keep everything as close as possible functionality wise because the game can break very easily. Hopefully nobody gets stuck in that puzzle anymore!

Also fixed are a wierd issue that you started bouncing off enemies in latest patch, and you weren't able to jump when you were against a moveable block, making getting up on top of blocks a little annoying.

Thanks for playing, and please submit bugs here!

v1.3 "The Collision Update"!

Hey everyone!

What a trip I, Hope has had the past month! I have been chosen as a delegate to the European Union Parliament to showcase innovation in games Sept 4th and 5th in Brussels, Belgium! It's a huge honor and I'm stoked.

But today's news is about a big patch that I just pushed to live - v1.3 "The Collision Update".

All collisions have been completely reworked throughout the entire game. It's a ground-up refactor of Hope's movement and physics, and what it does is unify those two systems into one.

Specifically, people who were frustrated by how cumbersome it was to move objects around will notice that it works AMAZINGLY better now. That was a big point of pain for some players and I hope that we continue to get everyone's love and support as I strive to improve the game. Please write a review if you haven't already!

Lots of love,
Kenny

I, HOPE v1.2 - Major Update!

Hey everyone! I'm thrilled to say that I, Hope is now compatible with the Long Term Support (LTS) version on Unity. This means the game can get updates for up to 2 years without having to change our unity version. It's essential to me being able to continue to do things here and there on the game.

Part of this major update was having to completely redo the controls - it was HUGE! You will notice there is an amount of Edge grace-period that makes platforming WAY more fun and easy. Not only that, but since we're using only physics now, her animations all blend together perfectly. No more jitter inbetween rolls, running, jumping, and walking.

Please let me know if you find any bugs! I need your help!

I, Hope now Windows 7 Compatible!

Thanks everyone for your patience, I'm now happy to report that I, Hope will play on any Windows 7+ PC with DirectX 11+ (graphics cards later than 2011 should be fine).

Please report any problems to me, I'm happy to try to help.

Also, if you have played the game, REVIEW the game! We need as many reviews as possible, and if there's something you'd like to see in the game that would make you recommend it, let me know.

Kenny
