The launch has gone very well and I've been getting more feedback from more of the players which has been helping me make constant improvements for the game. One of the great suggestions I got was to add a leaderboard to make the game more competitive and to add motivation to keep beating your highscores and to try to beat your friends highscore. I've been working on this for the last couple of days and it's been implemented today on the main menu.

Added a global highscore leaderboard which is accessed by pressing the button on the main menu.
Fixed
Fixed scaling issues on the main menu so the buttons are no longer squashed on smaller screen resolutions.
Plans For The Future
I plan in the future for there to be a section on the main menu that shows the actual leaderboard instead of it redirecting you to the Steam leaderboard.

Thank you to everybody for your positive feedback on the game! It has really helped me improve the game even more and I have included bug fixes and new features added below, thanks.
Bug Fixes
Steam orb achievements are now triggered when you hit the exact milestone where as before they would be triggered the one orb after milestone was hit.
Fixed major bug where the player would get stuck on edges of the platforms which would often cause the player to be killed by the enemy. This fix has made the gameplay a lot more smooth for the player.
Added
There is now a progress bar on the main menu that shows the player how effective your weapon is. (Weapon effectiveness will increase your bullet velocity, and trigger cool down time between shooting.) It used to be unclear that leveling up your player increases these things but with this change it is very clear to the player.
Plans For The Future
In the future, I plan to add a new gamemode called 'Duel mode' where the player can fight another AI who also has a gun. I have already started working on this and I've successfully created an AI that fights the player. I now just need to design a gamemode that would be enjoyable to play.
