IL-2 Sturmovik Desert Wings Tobruk - Release Date Announcement!
Pre-orders will be available starting on July 30th via the official IL-2 Sturmovik store with a 15% discount for those who want to opt-in first!
Get ready for another tour of duty – IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings Tobruk will let you experience the famous Desert War through the eyes of those fighting for dominance high above the battlefields of North Africa. You can fly over 40 aircraft and variants from the Royal Air Force, Luftwaffe or Regia Aeronautica. Experience combat in the legendary Spitfire, sturdy Hurricanes, stubby Martlets, and rugged Kittyhawks, or take flight in deadly Messerschmitts and Macchis.
IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings features a 385km x 385km North African map recreating in precise detail the strategic stronghold of Tobruk and the desert and sea which surrounds it. Included are 75+ airfields, multiple landmarks and towns, an extensive road network as well as the historical fortifications, minefields and defences, all based on actual maps from the war.
Combined with the excellent multiplayer environment that allows over 100 players and dozens of AI aircraft online simultaneously, IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings promises intense and challenging human versus human aerial battles.
For the Single Player enthusiasts, the game also includes 24 Quick Missions playable with any aircraft, 7 long form Campaigns based on historical Squadron experiences, and another 14 single missions.
IL-2 Sturmovik: Desert Wings - Tobruk will be available on August 6th via Steam and other digital stores for $69.99 USD. The game requires the base game IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz Edition in order to play.

Single Player Campaigns and Missions
Firstly, thank you for your continued support of Team Fusion Simulations. With last weeks name release of IL-2 Sturmovik, Desert Wings Tobruk, anticipation for it's release has never been higher!
Many in the community have asked us about the single player content in the expansion. Whilst we are still finalising this area of the sim, you can expect to see the following.
6 Campaigns (scripted)
13 Single player missions
2 Co-Op missions
24 Quick missions
4 of the single missions are for Blitz owners, the remainder Tobruk DLC
As with Cliffs of Dover Blitz, we look forward to seeing our talented community members produce and share their new missions and campaigns in the future.

In this exciting new IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover - Blitz Desert War expansion, you can fly with over 40 aircraft and variants from the Royal Air Force, the Luftwaffe or the Regia Aeronautica. See combat in the legendary Spitfire, sturdy Hurricanes, stubby Martlets, and rugged Kittyhawks, or take wing in deadly Messerschmitts and Macchis. The game introduces a flyable Wellington bomber, as well as updated versions of the Ju-88 and Heinkel 111H. Desert Wings allows bomber and fighter jocks of all skill levels the opportunity to fully challenge themselves in this historically based campaign.
In addition to the long list of flyable aircraft, there are over 25 new tanks, artillery and vehicles as well as 17 new ships, including massive battleships, cruisers, destroyers, patrol boats, submarines, torpedo boats and merchant ships; these additions allowing huge land and naval battles in ferocious detail.

Not all aircraft shown are complete, with cockpits, external components, special effects and sounds to be finalised by release.
At the end of the video, we have included a full list of all flyable aircraft, including all variants, available in both IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz, which you will need to own in order to play the expansion, along with the outstanding channel and desert war types and variants.

Very soon, we will be releasing an update video showcasing every flyable desert aircraft! If there will also be a variant of that aircraft, that will be included in text.
At the end of the video, we have listed every single flyable (model + all variants) aircraft in IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz and the new expansion. The expansion will also feature aircraft that were not flown in the desert theatre, so check out that list to which which aircraft they are.
We have listed the Blitz aircraft as well due to the requirement of owning Blitz in order to play the expansion.
The list is very impressive in the amount of different aircraft players can fly.
