In the footage we can get acquainted with representatives of 2 main factions ☠️ - the Hunter Faction and the Dark Riders. These are the main parties to the conflict🗡️, but not the only ones.

Erwin, the main character of the game, is a representative of the Hunter Faction🔥. During the prologue, the player will face at least 5 big battles ⚔️with representatives of the Dark Riders ⚡️ presented in the videos. In addition to battles, we can also communicate both with members of our faction and with ordinary people, some of whom are presented in the video

⚔️Illusion Lands DEVLOG #9⚔️

We are trying to improve existing gameplay mechanics and are hard at work on new ones. In this video you can see how the Attribute Effects system is implemented



Attribute Effects - can be used when at least one segment of the Attribute Point bar is full. Depending on the selected Attribute - The effect will be different. Each Attribute has its own peculiarity and their choice will be determined by the chosen battle tactics.

Attribute effects work regardless of which weapon you are currently using. You can use any weapon.

In the future, the effects of this system will be used in other mechanics - skills, bombs, traps, and so on. This system will make the gameplay deeper and more interesting. Very soon you will be able to try this and much more on your own!

You can use all types of weapons in combat⚡️ both on the ground and in the air☄️. During a successful dodge of enemy attacks, you can use a contractattack🔥 to knockdown the enemy💀

There are many tools in the game which you can use in gameplay e.g.- bombs💣, traps🪤, various consumable items. Some of them can be seen in this small snippet.

⚔️Illusion Lands DEVLOG #7⚔️

Today we start a series of devlogs about the combat system in ILLUSION LANDS - about new features that we have introduced during development and about reworking old ones. Today I will tell you about the Attribute system.

The Attribute System enhances weapons by giving them special properties that can help you in combat. At the moment, 4 attributes are implemented - Fire, Poison, Ice, Bleeding.



Depending on the attribute you choose, during the battle you can deal «elemental damage» to the enemy, poison him, or wound him. If the damage from the attribute is dealt successfully, an indicator will appear above the enemy's HP.



Attributes can be improved and upgraded. The game has various items related to this system, which you can find during the exploration of locations.



Attribute damage can be either chance damage, if we are talking about regular attacks with a bow or sword, or guaranteed, if you use various used items - bombs, traps, and so on.

What can you find in the new devlog?



Weapon system ⚔️

In the world of IL, each Hunter has their own, filled with energy, allowing them to destroy Morbids and Devourers💀. Erwin 🦸 can have 5 types of weapons - Bow, One-Handed Sword, Two-Handed Sword, Double Spear, Dual Swords. The bow 🏹 is a basic weapon and is used independently of melee weapons. Melee weapons in the game have a difference in pace and have a number of unique features. Each weapon can be used in attacks both on the ground and in the air. Each weapon has its own skills that can be improved.


  • One-handed sword 🗡️ "ENYO" is a fast-paced weapon that is effective against almost all types of enemies except for armored ones.




  • Two-handed sword ⚔️ "VIRTUS" effective against armored opponents. It can be used on multiple enemies at the same time.




  • Double spear ⚡️ "NEITH" is especially effective for duels in the air or for use against large crowds of enemies.





  • Dual swords ⚔️ "SATIS" is the most effective weapon against Devourers, it can be used against any type of enemy and even for ranged attacks.






Each weapon 🗡️ has its own characteristics, but the game does not limit you in choosing a specific weapon to play IL effectively. You can use one weapon you like, or combine them at your discretion

What can you find in the new devlog?



In the Lands of Illusion there is a territory called Dion. 🌍
It covers an area of 20x20 kilometers and consists of several large cities.
- Martu - located among the steppes, the main and the largest city of Dion. Part of this city is Reine, the entire area is surrounded by walls. Intside of these is the rest of the city. 🏛️
- Enlil - a high-lying mountain city, ⛰️
- Adda - a fishing village located on lands where storms and bad weather constantly occur, ⛈️⚡️
- Girra - small villages on volcanic land 🌋

Reine is most protected city in the territory of Dion. Many main tasks and secondary activities are associated with this city. Here you can develop skills, buy and improve equipment. Reine is one of the territories that we must protect from the Dark Riders and the Eaters







This "earth world" exists in the reality of the classical Middle Ages. Besides several large cities and villages, as well having various biomes and zones of interest.
This world is inhabited by people who are familiar to our understanding. Without having any
superpowers, special weapons or the like that could identify them with our heroes.

Next week we will publish a Steam card for the Prologue version🥳 that you should add to your wishlist, and in the near future the demo Prologue itself🐉. Where you will be able to try out all those new features and items that we have been implementing all this time.

And today we will talk about a new type of weapons that will be in the game. ⚔️



There are currently 5 types of weapons in the game. Each appears depending on the level. Each weapon has its own special skills and play style.🏹



The game also implemented air battles - you can use weapons to attack in the air. Also, some skills only work in the air. You can upgrade the skill tree of some weapons so that it can be used against air targets with maximum effect.



Each weapon has its own tempo. The Giant Sword🪓 is the slowest weapon and deals the most damage. Twin blades are the opposite. However, depending on the features of pumping skill branches, you can create a unique build.



In the next devlog, we will show you the features of this or that type of weapon, and later - you can try it out yourself in the newest demo.

So, let's talk about the structure of the world Illusion Lands.

So, how does the game world work?


No lengthy introductions.

The game world is divided into 3 parts:

I - Airspace;
II - Open world;
III - Instance zones;
VI - Pocket worlds.



Illusion Lands combines both ground and air gameplay, since our world has the ability to fly a dragon. An important part of the game is air battles, treasure hunts on flying islands and airspace in general.

Airspace is part of the open world. Everything is exactly as you imagine :)





The open world in Illusion Lands may not be impressive in size, but we set ourselves the goal of making it rich, although not the largest. In the next Devlog, we will tell you more about the details of the open world and the activities that you can do in it, but for now just enjoy the screenshots :)







Pocket Worlds and Instance Zones are separate territories that can be entered both in the open world and as part of certain story and secondary quests. It is especially important for us to create maps that are not similar to each other, differing both in design and in the gameplay component. DEVLOG #2

Greetings, dear members of the IL group. We would like to share with you news about the game and outline further plans for the development of the game.



We took into account many comments and suggestions on the game from the community received during the last Steamfest. Most of the problems have been fixed, and the coolest suggestions have been implemented in the game. Soon you will be able to see it for yourself in the new demo assembly (follow the project news, subscribe to our discord). Also, follow the news of our curator.

Let's move on to the most interesting


QUALITY OF SYSTEM MECHANICS:


We have improved the quality of most of the key mechanics related to the game system as a whole (which was a lot of questions during Steamfest). All mechanics related to the comfortable process of passing the game have been improved to excellent quality - the save system, localization, gamepad support, etc.



Currently tested:

- Keyboard and mouse;
- Steampad;
- Steamdeck;
- Controller from PS4;
- Xbox controller.

Support for gamepads from current consoles will be implemented later.

SKILL SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT:


The skill system has been completely redesigned.



Now, the character's skills are a branched RPG system, each "branch" of which is responsible for one or another type of weapon.

DEVLOG #1

I am glad to welcome you again, dear players! The world of IL has changed a lot since the last Steam Fest, and we decided to share this news with you in our first devlog. First of all, we are very grateful to the players who tried out our first build during Steam Fest. Special thanks to those who left their valuable feedback, thereby influencing the further development of the game.

And now to business!

Illusion Lands has become larger - we have worked on locations, setting ourselves the goal of making the gameplay as interesting as possible, making lo-cations that can be completed in various ways, depending on your play style. We have increased the number of possible activities and side quests inside locations and will continue to work in this direction to get the maximum result.

We have increased the number of RPG elements in order to make the pro-cess of developing your character the most fun. New skills have been added to the general combat skills category. Also, separate skill categories have been added to develop passive skills and skills for your Dragon. In addition to the above, added: - items that temporarily or permanently endow your weapon with special proper-ties; - a separate crafting system for potions and other useful items; - and some other mechanics. We have improved and expanded the AI of enemies, mini-bosses and Devourers, took into account and corrected the shortcomings identified by the players in the combat system.

We are also happy to announce that soon players will have the opportunity to play the updated and improved version of IL again. Follow our news :)
