We've been busy this week! We're still working on major features/changes like improving the gunplay, adding the Daily/Weekly modes and the Last Resort system for when you don't have ammo. But we're also making some other tweaks and changes to other areas on Immortal Redneck, so here's a new patch.

Scrolls Tweaks

  • Removed 'A New Beginning' (Still available on Twitch mode)
  • Disabled 'Please Try Again' on bosses in order to avoid softlocks on Twitch mode. We'll get back to this issue in the next patch and will make it work and resetting the boss as it should be.
  • Damn OMS
    - Renamed to Damn WHO.
    - Can't drop with Ammit favor.
    - Can't drop on First Floor.
    - Can't drop when buying a scroll from Suy.
    - Before: Instead of gold, meat will appear
    - Now: 70% of chance of getting meat instead of gold
  • Bad Investment
    - Before: You lose half of the gold
    - Now: You lose 20% of your gold
  • Lvl 5 Vegan
    - Before: Removes all of your weapons except the one you're using
    - Now: Removes your weapons except the current one. Grants infinite ammo until a new one is dropped or equipped
  • Itchy Trigger Finger
    - Before: Each shot costs 2 ammo
    - Now: If you miss a shot, you lose an additional bullet


Features / Balance

  • Cancelling reloads changing weapons now it's a default option. 'Not Now' Scroll now will avoid this and it's categorized as 'Bad'.
  • The number of god favor choices to select is now 3 instead of 2. 'ReRoll' Skill Tree Node is now cheaper.
  • Added new music tracks inside the pyramids. The OST package has also been updated with the 6 new tracks.
  • Bow buffed. Now it has less ammo and more damage.
  • Shotgun buffed. The spread has been greatly reduced and the reload speed is faster.
  • Vertical Shotgun buffed. Reload speed is faster.
  • Sekhmet nerfed. Lower defense and chicken wings will recover less (3 hp instead of 4).
  • Increased stats of enemies on Pyramid 2 and 3. Also, increased base stats from the bosses there.
  • Temsep buffed. Now it's invulnerable while the shields are rotating.
  • Reduced the repetition on Redneck voices.


Bugs

  • Medallions drop rates are now working as intended.
  • Disabled analytics that could cause hiccups on the framerate when killing enemies or doing certain actions.
  • Fixed some cases in which Snitch (the friggin' disco ball enemy) could be invincible.
  • Fixed climb stopped working.
  • Fixed elevators stopped working.
  • Fixed 'Extra Jump' Skill Tree node not working when unlocked with Apis.
  • Fixed 'Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy' achievement.
  • Fixed 'Critammo' & 'Bulletback' giving ammo over the weapon limit.
  • Fixed bad interactions between Hathor's Hook and Trampolines/Elevators
  • Fixed 'Auto Aim' option enabling itself after every new launch.
  • Fixed some more enemies in walls.
  • Fixed translation typos.


ATTENTION
Since the seed (the magic number we use to generate the world) has changed because the modifications in scrolls in this update, if you currently have a game inside a pyramid you won't be able to continue it. Instead, you will be taken to the exterior, starting a new run and keeping all the gold collected from the previous run. If you want to end up your current run, we recommend disabling auto-updates from Steam and manually updating after the run is over.

  • Rework on the ammo system. Now you can overflow the capacity of the chamber and gain ammo without the need to reload first.
  • Increased available weapon pool on Pyramid 1
  • Incremented base drop chance for Scrolls
  • Incremented base drop chance for Weapons


Bugs

  • Fixed the UZI animation lock when reloading with the "Not Now" scroll
  • Fixed vSync with Target Frame Rate set to 72/90/144
  • Securing the code from the climbs to prevent a bug related to them

We've been busy trying to locate and fixing all the bugs you've reported so here's a new patch.

  • Fixed the mouse not working on the main menu issue when a device with touch input is detected
  • Fixed a rare freeze on Pharaoh fight
  • Fixed a rare crash when using Neith's falcon
  • Fixed some cases where an Archer could be stuck inside stairs/wall
  • Improved the stuttering issue when the Frame Rate is capped to 30/60
  • Improved teleport particle of AlChafar (the enemy that teleports when shooted)
  • Improved blueprint drop chances
  • Revisited the scrolls that affected Defense. Solved some bugs and improved the balance.
  • Unified the bindings of the player movement and the minimap movement. If you change the default movement keys/buttons you can now move the map with those keys/buttons too.

Day 1 Patch



Immortal Redneck has been ready for a few weeks, but we've been working non-stop to deliver you an even greater experience. The game is going to have a day-one patch featuring a lot of new things.

Here's the complete list of fixes and changes:

  • Improved the recoil system, weapons should feel smoother now and cause less motion sickness
  • Also improved and further tinkering on the general feeling of the weapons
  • Improved the climb system. Now you shouldn't climb if your falling down on purpouse.
  • Improved the visual transition between rooms
  • Buying a new God Favor will grant it appearing on the next run
  • Added five new music tracks to avoid repetition
  • Changed vSync off/on setting for a custom Frame Rate choice. Now you can select between 30/60/72/90/120/144 or just unlimited FPS.
  • Lots of fixes on the Achievements system
  • Reduced the times a Voice Reaction can be repeated in the same run
  • Reduced voting time on Twitch Mode
  • Fixed the performance issues while using the AK47
  • Fixed a rare bug where a certain enemy could be immortal. The only immortal being here should be the Redneck.
