In My Defense

Patch 1.9

  • The basement levels get some attention as they get obstacles! There are now crates and barrels in the basement that act as obstacles to almost everyone. Hitch and the AI robots can destroy them and the Rocksters can crush them. There are a random number of them spawned for each level.

  • Added crashed AI pilot ships to the ground object pool. They have crashed into the ground at different angles and depths.

  • Hackers code now slows during slow time power-up.

Patch 1.8

Shadows!

Ground shadows have been added to all large objects in the air.

Patch 1.75

  • Changed level start text color from aqua to green. Added a black text backdrop to level start and level completed text.
  • Added black background to the ticker message on the main menu.
  • The base cam got moved to the right when the left trigger full-screen base camera was implemented. Moved it back to its original position.

Patch 1.74

  • Defensa no longer says didn't hit anything when smart bombing venom.
  • Changed warpillar explosion so it doesn't so abruptly vanish.
  • Added sensor to top of base.

Patch 1.73

Second patch of the day and it's not a hotfix!

  • Made audio for player's laser play for each blast, except for autofire.
  • Changing how player ship reforms after being destroyed.

Patch 1.72

  • Added tutorial text to first falling photon cannon similar to first falling supply crate.
  • Made player's laser shoot a little farther
  • Reduced the occurrence of dust storms.

Patch 1.71

Moved ship back so that 2/3 of the screen is in front of the player when moving. Teleportation is still instant.

Patch 1.7

  • In the Defensa levels, when the ship changed directions, the scrolling stopped and it resumed once you were 1/3 of the screen length from the edge of the screen. This resulted in less scrolling when you changed directions, but you could only see 1/3 of the screen length ahead of you and 2/3 rds of the screen behind you. With this new change, you are always in the center of the screen, (unless you are at the edge of the play field). This should let the player see what is coming at them from the direction they are moving better. It also makes using the teleporter less disorientating, because it no longer does the fast scroll across the play field, it is now instantaneous.
  • Base shield parts are less blocky when destroyed.
  • Shooting the level skip target only gives you 150 metal, instead of 200.
  • Decreased fire tank missiles damage to base by half.
  • Fixed a performance issue when the player's ship was re-forming.
  • Increased volume of sound effect when enemy generators are destroyed during the basement levels.

Patch 1.64

  • Added occasional dust/snow storm between the two mountain ranges.
  • Reduced level skip timer from 30 seconds to 20 seconds.
  • Made it so friendly spores can attack rotating reflectors.
  • Random ground object on sunset levels now glow orange.
  • Added random floor scales to the basement floor. They don't do anything game-play wise, but they are operational. You can now tell how many metric tons everything weighs.61
  • Modified "windshield" of mother-ship.
  • Mother-ship now explodes in larger parts.
  • Changed height of blob generator.

Patch 1.63

  • Removed dark "weather" from endless mode
  • Animation for wood guardian arms has been re-done.
