Patch 1.31


  • Fixed "Killed by Terror Stalk" achievement.
  • Created new upgrade - Deploy chaff. Enemies that track the player will now go to a released chaff flare, if it is closer. Right trigger deploys chaff. Player gets 5 per level, with extra carrying over. Number of chaffs is displayed in the HUD.
  • Moved radar enlarge function from the left shoulder button to the left trigger, so it doesn't impact alternate thrust method.
  • Created new upgrade- Turn spores. Changes the spores, which are released when destroying a pod, behavior to attack alien enemies instead of player.
  • Changed attack saucers behavior slightly to better ram player's ship.
  • Added new auburn rocky planet to the background planet mix.
  • Added shading to ice and red planets.
  • Fixed issue with upgrade store skipping basement level depending on how you exited the store.

1.3 Update


  • New enemy- The Steaky Surfer. If killed a certain way, player can steal its weapon, picking the gun up and dropping it like the rock launchers. When attached, the weapon fires along with the normal ship's laser.
  • Added yellow burst when picking up a power-up.
  • Improved graphics on player shield. Shield now animates if something hits it.
  • Added new achievement based on new enemy.
  • Hawks now tilt up and down. Hawk enemy has had its graphics re-done.
  • New ability/powerup: The Wood Guardian. It kills enemies with its branches.
  • Made it so Defensa and Hitch don't talk over themselves as much. Low important voice lines won't play, if another voice line is currently playing.
  • Changed text to icons for many of the HUD labels.
  • New power-up: Shrinker- all the firepower, but less of a target. Enemies that fire on or web player when player is near, will not detect player.
  • New Defensa voice lines, including adding voice lines to the intro sequence.
  • Updated instruction screens to include new enemies, friendlies, and power-ups.
  • AI wingman intelligence has been improved. They are much better at bombing ground targets. They each have a limited set of 19 bombs.
  • Added random size scaling to base cracks to make them look better.
  • If a powerdown activates a shrinker powerup, the player's ship will be twice the normal size for a short period. If the powerdown activates a wood guardian powerup, an evil wood guardian will appear.
  • Spider body and head graphics slightly enhanced.
  • Mist added to some storm levels.
  • Added Attack Saucer. It launches from the base side of the playfield. If it make it to the edge of the left side of the playfield, it will drop a rolling bomb towards the base. The rolling bomb can only be destroyed by a bomb.
  • Changed ship graphics so it tilts when going up or down.
  • Removed small moon and sun. Added random large planets to background. The planets will stay in that configuration until a new game is started.
  • Destroyed ships now drop metal, which can be collected. Before every basement level, there will be a store to buy ship upgrades that you can pay for in metal.
  • Changed death of the planter. It used to turn black for a second. Now, pieces of it shimmer to the ground.
  • The spider legs now fly off in pieces when destroyed.
  • All saucer types now have a debris explosion when hitting the ground.
  • Nightwing animation redone to be smoother.
  • Added death animation for spores.
  • Twin stick basement levels.

    • Dead Hacker sprite that flies up at the screen has been redone to be higher resolution.
    • Fixed issue with initial wave pause screen, so player can no longer move while paused.
    • Fixed issue with gas explosion achievement that had a bug, making it too easy to achieve.
    • Added sand traps that slow down everyone moving over them, except drones.
    • Droids now move to center of playfield after player dies.
    • Added new enemy, Generator Spawner. It moves around the playfield dropping enemy generators.
    • Added death animation for blobs.
    • Added alternate death animation for ensects.
    • Changed the ensects path to the power generators so it is not a direct path. This will make it so less of them are clumped exactly on top of each other. Also changed it so more will be at remote power generators.

Patch 1.22


  • Spawners take multiple hits to kill, but weren't showing damage. Now they will start crying when damaged. The more damage they take, the more they will cry.
  • Fixed bug introduced in recent patch that cause a short period of invulnerability after shooting a sonic bomb.
  • Added orange and red color warnings to the HUD for low values of ships, robots, flares, bombs, and smart bombs.
  • Added in a couple of Defensa voice lines that were left out.
  • Fixed issues with Assassin bullets. They now damage base and have a limited range.
  • Changed Hawk ship explosion slightly.


SteamDeck inspired changes below:

  • Made Hawk and Powerdown projectiles slightly easier to see.
  • Hold the left shoulder button or the U key to show a larger version of the radar on the screen.

Patch 1.21

When player ship is at top of the screen, the HUD will now fade to barely visible and the base PIP window will disappear. This will make it easier to deal with enemies at the top of the screen.

Fixed issue with regular game leaderboards being saved to endless mode.

Patch 1.2 - Adds new game mode and enemies


  • Added Endless Mode. Play one endless level with all regular enemies. As time passes, more enemies appear. How long can you last? This is a good mode if you want a faster, shorter game.
  • Added leaderboard for endless mode.
  • Added description of Endless mode to the general instruction screen.
  • Fixed player leaderboard section to show the two scores above you, instead of just one.
  • Fixed typo in powerup instructions.
  • Spiders now move slightly faster, but the more legs you shoot off, the slower they move.
  • Creeper seed now vulnerable to slow powerup.
  • Added animation for when a falling creeper seed is destroyed.
  • Moved spider spawn point back, so it smoothly enters the playfield.
  • Slightly shortened early waves.
  • Added achievement for surviving Endless mode for 15 minutes.
  • Fixed issue that caused player laser splash to not show.
  • Fixed display issue with lava.
  • Added new enemy - The Assassin.
  • Added new enemy - The Fire Tank.
  • Fixed performance issue when player's ship explodes.
  • Fixed issue with some achievements.
  • Added score of last game played to main menu.

  • Added an alternate shading version of the regular saucers.
  • Added shading to planter enemy.
  • Improved look of teleporters.

Patch 1.11


  • Added gamepad rumble support.
  • Made hawk bullets slightly easier to see.
  • Updated bomb power up description and warpillar description in instructions section.
  • Fixed issue with warpillar getting scrambled up, if it was spawned in the middle of the playfield.
  • Added three new clouds. Removed one of the old ones.
  • Added voices to intro sequence.
