I've added some small tweaks to the game:
- addressed vsync issue with performance affecting some players - visibility of certain background elements reduced for clarity - slight adjustment to difficulty of one area - other small bug fixes

Hello! I'm Jasper, the solo creator of IN THE DARK, and as summer comes closer I wanted to share with you the progress on the game so far, and plans for the future.
I've been working on the game for a little over a year now, and the full game world is (almost) complete, as well as the enemies, and player movement. I've recently completed the bulk of the world map, but am still tinkering exactly how it works.
Moving forward, the biggest tasks for me to take on are player upgrades, NPCs and dialogue, and lots and lots of sound effects. I've begun to work on upgrades, and you can see a preview of how I'm implementing it below:
Once those are finished, I can begin to think about the ending of the game. While I can't give an exact release date yet, I want the game to be finished and available by the end of this summer/ beginning of the fall. As a current college student, development has been a bit sporadic due to classes and sports, but I now have much more time to work these next few months.
