Happy New Year everyone! This patch features the much-requested dodge reverts. As this is surely going to affect the meta in many ways, we've only addressed fighters who have a particular attack in their kit that is either too strong, or lacking a bit. Let us know what you think about the new meta!


  • Dodges have been reverted back to the pre-V3.0.0.0 state
  • Zorbie‘s side melee damage lowered from 5 to 4
  • Meat Boy’s up melee cooldown increased from 8 to 11 frames
  • Shovel Knight's up melee startup increased from 7 to 10 frames
  • Stardrop’s side melee startup lowered from 6 to 4 frames
  • Orcane’s side melee startup lowered from 14 to 12 frames
  • When in Fraud Detection, using Kick's down special and landing on the ground has the same effect as PartyStarter.

INDIE POGO UNVEILS MEAT BOY AND NINTENDO SWITCH VERSIONS FOR EARLY 2021



Meat Boy, the classic indie icon from the SUPER MEAT BOY franchise, is punching his way through the competition to join the INDIE POGO game as its newest DLC fighter. This content pack will launch in January 2021 as a free DLC fighter for any player who has purchased Indie Pogo. This DLC also contains a new stage based on the Abandoned Hospital setting, where an iconic boss makes a reappearance: C.H.A.D. Alongside this update, players can expect a single-player Arcade run added to the game, new unlockable trophies, as well as a host of quality-of-life improvements.

Meat Boy's inclusion is coupled with the announcement that Indie Pogo will also be made available on Nintendo Switch's eShop in 2021. It will contain all previously released content, including all DLC, built into the base package. The Nintendo Switch version will also receive all upcoming DLC packs, among which include fighters such as Octodad from OCTODAD: DADLIEST CATCH, Gunvolt from the AZURE STRIKER: GUNVOLT franchise, Dust from DUST: AN ELYSIAN TAIL and a fighter from AWESOMENAUTS.

The inclusion of Meat Boy in Indie Pogo is paired with the release of SUPER MEAT BOY FOREVER, the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic. SUPER MEAT BOY FOREVER is now available on Nintendo Switch and Epic Games Store.

In a new video released by Lowe Bros. Studios via a YouTube Premiere video, Meat Boy debuted alongside the Nintendo Switch announcement. The hand-animated cinematic shows Meat Boy surprising fellow fighter: Kick from DIVEKICK. Meat Boy also boasts a slew of combat tactics based off of his source material, such as tossing blocks of salt and deadly buzzsaws. Version 3.0.8.0 Update

Howdy pardners, this update focus primarily on mini-reworks for Velocispider & Welltaro. Basically, the goal is to reduce the problematic areas of their kits, and buff the parts that are undertuned. Hopefully these changes will yield new and enjoyable options, without nuking the parts of their kits that make them unique.

General

  • 2 new skins in the shop (Can you guess who they are for?)
  • Fixed a bug that took away teching i-frames when you roll directly after a tech
  • Tutorial laser now lets you dodge through
  • Camera adjusted on the head-jumping tutorial room so you can see the next Xenorg


Velocispider

  • Down Special now has greatly reduced knockback
  • Down melee knockback increased
  • Velocispider can now hold down melee so that the attack fires when the button is released
  • Heavily reduced SUPER startup
  • Lowered SUPER damage from 3 to 2 per hit,
  • Greatly reduced knockback so that it turns into a multi-hit move
  • Up Special now has a window of startup right before he explodes so there's a window where he can be hit
  • Side melee now launches enemies up at a higher angle, reducing chaining, but setting up for his upward attacks


Welltaro

  • Increased landing squish duration when he’s out of ammo
  • Changed Heart Balloon damage from 8 & 10 to 6 & 9
  • Increased active frames and max active frames of puncher bullets
  • Increased move speed of puncher bullets slightly
  • Increased initial jump height for puncher
  • Removed Candle from SUPER upgrade pool
  • Add a new SUPER upgrade called “Rest in Pieces”
  • Increased hitbox size on side special’s kick
  • increased knockback power of side special’s kick
  • Slightly decreased knockback power of up melee

PATCH NOTES - V3.0.5.0

Hey everyone we've got a fancy new update for you all. In case you can't tell, we're continuously trying to even out the tier list by giving small nerfs to fighters dominating the meta, as well as buffing those at the bottom. This update also brings 3 new stage variants! Congrats to the winners of the latest contest. And if yours wasn't chosen, we actually plan to add a couple more Blockworld variants in future updates. There were so many great ones. But we can only make so many at a time!

Bullet-kin

  • Magnum damage lowered from 2 to 1
  • Empowered Magnum damage lowered from 3 to 2


Fishy

  • Fishlets can no longer be used to kill someone


Kick

  • Divekick base damage raised from 5 to 6 (Headshot and New Angle still add +1 each on top of base damage)


Penelope

  • Penelope can now use Engine Boost to absorb her Vampire Mine and deal damage with Engine Boost's hitbox


Stardrop

  • Lowered Stardrop's up special damage from 8 to 7
  • Stardrop's Downward Starshot can no longer destroy Penelope's Vampire Mines


Teslakid

  • Bug fixed that prevented Teslakid from aiming his Grounded Charge properly


Yolk

  • Yolk's bomb damage has been raised from 3 to 5


General

  • 4 new Blockworld variants added
  • Slight visual update for Blockworld backgrounds
  • 1 new trophy added to the gachapon

  • Neutral special horizontal movement speed is slower when he has the axe
  • Neutral special now has 6 frames of startup
  • After 3 seconds of holding side special, his helmet automatically pops off


Penelope

  • Fixed a bug with penelope grabbing a mine next to a wall


Yolk

  • Fixed a bug with silly sausage not being refreshed after being hit or dying
  • Fixed a bug when kicking bombs placed on top of each other


Teslakid

  • Fixed bug with using down special on Diogenes
  • Adjusted hurtbox width

  • New Emblems available in the shop
  • Fixed a bug with AI characters not being able to use up & down attacks
