Changes

  • Add support for French, Dutch, Portuguese, Canadian French, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Traditional Chinese
  • Replays show your most recent success (thanks to File_xor for helping me realise my logic for taking the "fastest" replay didn't make sense)
  • Can slow down replays on level select
  • Very minor animation, input, and tutorial tweaks

Induction Update 1.1.1

Changes

  • Grid option available in 'Video' settings
  • Credits music respects volume settings
  • Fix a minor bug where rewind ability wouldn't be unlocked early if used on the fourth level

If you experience any problems with this update, please let me know on the discussion board, or contact me at support@inductiongame.com.

Induction Update 1.1.0

This update moves Induction to the latest stable version of the Unity engine, which means the desktop version of Induction will be in sync with ports to other platforms, coming later this year.

Unfortunately this means version 1.1.0 will not support some older operating systems. If you're affected by this, the "legacy" 1.0.5 version of Induction will still be available - right click Induction in your Steam library, select "Properties...", select "Betas", then select the "legacy" branch.

This update makes a few other small changes.

Changes

  • Minor redesign the the level select interface
  • Game is no longer letterboxed to 16:9
  • Faster loading
  • Additional translations to German and Korean
  • Credits are accessible through the "About" menu
  • When using a gamepad, the right stick can be used to control time flow, in addition to shoulder buttons
  • Time portals more accurately show revealed timeline
  • Fix a bug that could cause replays to sometimes not play

If you experience any problems with this update, please let me know on the discussion board, or contact me at support@inductiongame.com.

Tim Shiel's soundtrack out now

The Induction soundtrack, by Melbourne-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Tim Shiel, is out now.

The soundtrack combines the game’s signature theme with a collection of bespoke ambient works inspired by the game’s causality-bending premise.

Induction’s sound world is playful and tricky, constantly shapeshifting and alternating from minimalism to maximalism.

The soundtrack is available to buy now as DLC for Induction.

Tim Shiel creating Induction's soundtrack

I'm hugely delighted to announce that Tim Shiel will be creating all that you hear in Induction. Tim previously created the soundtracks to Duet and GameLoading: Rise of the Indies, and he'll now be turning his considerable talents to giving Induction its musical heart and soul.

As well as a decade long career creating innovative and richly detailed electronic music, Tim performs as part of Gotye's live band, and is the host of Something More on Australia's Double J radio.

You can hear Tim's past work on his Soundcloud page, and the first listen of his work for Induction in the new trailer released today.
