Strafe Jumping is now completely disabled for controllers.
Note: Since Inertia was published via Early Access on 15th September 2017, there have been some major updates to the game. Early Access saw the release of multiple new levels, major changes and implementations to the movement, new tutorial level(s) and more. This update brings the final few implementations with a level creator/editor, Steam Workshop support and a new collection which brings the total amount of levels up to 48, as well as various bug fixes and improvements.
It's very important to note that while Inertia will be classed as a full-release going onwards, I still aim to create new collections and support will be continue to be an ongoing thing. Lastly, on that note, I would like to thank everyone that played the game and gave feedback throughout Early Access, every piece of feedback was extremely useful in moving forward with the game.

The 'Creator' and Steam Workshop
Over the next week or two, you may notice (or have already noticed) a few small differences around the Steam page(s) of Inertia.
First and foremost the Workshop is now public for Inertia, ahead of v0.9, which implements a level creation tool known as the 'Creator' as well as Steam Workshop support. There will be a guide published before the patch goes live which goes over how to use the Creator and how to upload your levels to Steam Workshop directly from Inertia.
You may have also noticed that there are a couple of new hidden achievements, they are achievements for v0.9, however I decided to push them live early to ensure they work as intended.
Assuming all goes well, the update should release on the 4th December 2017.
Developer Update #1
It's almost been a full month since my last update on Inertia so I just wanted to post a quick update to let everyone know that development is still ongoing. The following is just a bit of information about the plans for the near future of Inertia as well as some information on full release.
Plans/Roadmap
Continuing throughout November and possibly early December I'm going to be working on mod support/level creation/workshop support for Inertia and figuring out the best way to handle all of that, I'm also planning to start on a new level collection.
Full release
The vision for full release is to include some form of level creation and steam workshop support for that, access to developer console as well as at least 50 levels included in the base game so there's a fair bit of work to do before it gets to a stage that I'm happy to push the game for full release. Localisation is hit-or-miss and may or may not be included, it's an expensive and complicated process.

Level #2: Fixed misplaced structure.
General improvements/Bug fixes:
Restart input should now work as intended.
Restart input now defaults to 'R' rather than '='.
Restart input is now disabled in Frontend (main menu).
Slide and wallrun achievements now trigger as intended.
Notes:
First and foremost, my apologies to anyone having trouble with the restart input, it seems that certain changes in v0.7 had knock-on effects which caused various issues. This patch should fix any issues surrounding that, although if you do find that you're still having issues it could be a config issue and may require either resetting the inputs to default through the options menu or verifying the game files through Steam.
It also became apparent that the slide and wallrun achievements were (extremely) broken and triggering randomly which explains the high percentage in comparison to other achievements on Steam so that should be fixed now too.

Movement & Mechanics:
Strafe Jumping
Players have to input forward movement, similar to Quake/CoD2/CoD4 strafe jumping. (Sprint keys + left/right keys + mouse movement)
Unlike Inertia's bhopping mechanic, there is no strict limit on velocity.
Not a core mechanic, purpose is to increase the skill ceiling for speedrunners without affecting players who aren't worried about records.
Can be enabled/disabled in 'Gameplay & UI' settings menu, it is enabled by default.
Values may be tweaked over time to perfect the mechanics with help from player feedback.
Movement Modes
Certain movement values adjusted to give the player less 'complete' control over velocity whilst in the air, as well as lessening the gravity scale slightly for balancing purposes.
For anyone wishing to use the previous movement values, there is now an option in 'Gameplay & UI' allowing you to go back to the 'Legacy' movement mode which reverts the values to what they were at release and in v0.6.
Air Control: New (Default): 0.65 - Old (Legacy): 1.0
Gravity Scale: New (Default): 1.15 - Old (Legacy): 1.2
Braking Deceleration: New (Default): 100 - Old (Legacy): 0
Friction Factor: New (Default): 1 - Old (Legacy): 2
Sliding
Removed sliding 'impulse' speed, sliding now outputs a consistent speed of 1680u/s.
Players are now able to slide immediately after a cancelled slide.
Addressed an issue where slides weren't completely cancelled when the input was released.
Levels:
Annex Collection
Consisting of 10 brand new levels.
Independent level progression, you do not have to complete the Classics before starting Annex.
Introduces new obstacles and designs to the game.
Similar in style to the Classics collection.
Classics Collection
Level #10: Fixed some misplaced light beams.
Level #20: Fixed some misplaced light beams.
Level #23: Removed head blocking volume above the map.
Level #28: Fixed a couple of incorrect materials.
Level #32: Added a small ledge near wall-run.
Tutorial
Tutorial is now a sandbox playground rather than a linear level.
Audio/Music:
Added soundtrack which is randomised each time you spawn, depending on feedback this may change to each level having it's own track.
Added audio for flamethrower element.
General improvements/Bug fixes:
The game is now paused when the player fails the level and the retry UI is shown.
Tutorial/Playground level now appears at the front of the level select list.
Added Steam stats, leaderboards and achievements for the Annex Collection.
Achievement 'Like A Speed Demon' trigger point changed to improve consistency.
Achievement 'Born Ready' is now triggered when the playground level is opened.
All levels now have a collection tag for easier sorting.
Added Depth of Field graphics option.
Depth of Field and Bloom are now handled separately from the Post Processing graphics option.
Rearranged graphics options slightly.
Wallrunning should be a little less 'sticky' now.
Localisation preparations. (font changes, etc)
Fixed a positioning issue in Gameplay/UI options.
Leaderboard now shows the public level name rather than the internal level name.
Fixed bug where animation state would get stuck after cancelling a slide, preventing various events (footsteps, etc) from triggering successfully.
Friction values slightly adjusted, which should adhere to a more realistic friction drag equation, reducing the 'gliding' feeling.
Falling from the zipline should now set the player's movement state correctly.
Landing now resets the bhop timer completely, removing the (extremely small) chance of an incorrectly failed bhop.
Removed 'Engine Version' from Advanced UI.
Removed 'Game Version' from Advanced UI.
Separated 'Speed' and 'Time' from other information in Advanced UI.
Added Game Version to Frontend UI.
Fixed an issue with footsteps playing briefly after leaving the ground.
Renamed 'Reset' input to 'Restart Level'.
