Infinity

Status Update

Hello,

We believe in quality design, and meaningful gameplay experiences. As time goes on, and we all move on to bigger and better things, we look back at the first public release of a product we had developed. Infinity was a wild ride, and taught everybody involved how managing a game really works. Throughout the course of the support cycle, we implemented several bug fixes, optimizations, and game design alterations. However, everything must come to an end at some point. Today we’re announcing the official retirement of Infinity from the Steam store.

This has been an ongoing discussion with all parties involved for quite some time. Now that we have been given the opportunity, we have decided to take it. The retirement of Infinity is far more personal, than financial.

If you currently own Infinity, you will still be able to play the game at your own leisure. This means even if you uninstalled the game, if it's still present within your Steam library, you can always reinstall and play. This retirement process will remove the game from Steam search, and Infinity will no longer be available for purchase.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your continuous support, and direct feedback. Thank you for helping make Infinity a better experience, and we hope that it scratched that itch for a truly challenging platformer that holds no punches.

Thank you players!

Sincerely, the Infinity team.

Update 1.1.7

Patch Notes

-Reworked Assisted Play. Checkpoints are now present on all Assisted Play levels.
-Added main menu and level animations.
-Added in-game animations and transitions.

Bug Fixes

-Fixed an issue causing the game to crash when sitting at the main menu for more than 2 minutes.
-Fixed an issue that caused the player to become stuck when any level loads.
-Fixed an issue related to draw distance and depth of field effects.

Resolution Hotfix

Infinity supports 1280x720 - 3840x2160 displays, how resolution used to function is a forced fullscreen command which caused invalid resolutions for certain displays. This hotfix updates our resolution method to an adaptive system! If your monitor's display resolution is 1920x1080 and you select any lower vaule, your selected resolution will automatically be set to windowed mode. Selecting native resolution or higher will simply run the game in the maximum resolution capable of your display in windowed fullscreen mode.

Assisted Play Rework

Assisted Play currently provides players with checkpoints every four levels. However after continuous play, we realize this may be frustrating. We will be reworking the gamemode to instead feature checkpoints every level.

We plan on fixing the stuck geometry bug that can occour when using boost mode.

These two fixes will provide a much more satisfying experience for the player.

Thank you for your feedback, we will continue to improve Infinity as time goes on.
