A New Infinity Girl Demo for 2024!

I'm excited to share a new, much, MUCH improved Infinity Girl demo with all new content and gameplay! The new demo features:

  • Completely overhauled gameplay with an (even) greater focus on speed and flow 🏃‍♀️
  • A much improved control scheme and tighter movement and handling 🎮
  • Global leaderboards with the fastest times on each level ⏱️
  • A redesigned opening forest biome featuring bigger maps, faster speeds and much longer rails
  • A brand new desert biome (along with a banger drum & bass tune I created for these new maps) 🏜️
  • Three unique difficulty settings, including the unlockable Madness difficulty for the real ones (where everything you touch will kill you) ☠️
  • On Beat bonuses that give you speed and coins when you jump, dash or do other actions on the beat 🥁
  • A new tutorial introducing all of the gameplay mechanics (recommended for everybody jumping into this new version for the first time)
  • Loading screens, better performance and COUNTLESS bug fixes and quality of life improvements

The new Infinity Girl demo: A high-speed 7 level mini-roguelike

Hope you're enjoying the holidays and have been able to relax! Between seeing family and developing a crippling Marvel Snap addiction, I've been working hard on Infinity Girl. A lot of the features I'm working on for the upcoming, full alpha version are now in an updated version of the demo, and I want to share it with you all first! I give you... The Mountain™ update.

The demo is now live on Steam, and features a ton of new features:

  • The Mountain: The demo starts off with a brand new set of 3 downhill outdoor levels set on the side of a mountain. I had to rewrite the procedural generation for these levels, and I'm really pleased with where they are at now!
  • Death Boons™: When you die, choose from a range of abilities you carry over to your next run
  • Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze times for each level
  • Dodge rolls! Double tap the bank buttons (L or R trigger/A+D keys) to jump out of the way of oncoming obstacles
  • New abilities: Microgravity, "slippery" rails that make you go super fast and more!
  • VASTLY improved movement: I completely overhauled dashing, banking and other movements in the game so they feel much smoother, more fluid and responsive
  • Speedometer so you can see exactly how ludicrously fast you're going
  • Changed colors of speed hoops, coins and other good items to blue (instead of yellow since that was too close to the red/orange I use for obstacles that can kill you)
  • MANY optimizations and bug fixes, especially on the procedural generation (which was pretty buggy in the last demo).

Huge thanks to everybody who streamed the game and/or reported bugs in the Infinity Girl discord... which you should totally join to get the upcoming alpha in early 2023.

A brand new Infinity Girl Demo: The Drifter Update

Hey everybody! Just in time for the Dreamhack Festival on Steam, a BIG new Infinity Girl demo just dropped. It's basically a free mini roguelike at this point: 7 levels of hypnotic, high-speed goodness. I'm using these demo updates to test new features that will go into the game's alpha version -- would love your feedback! There is a LOT new stuff in this version including:


  • A new set of outdoor levels (which feature a slick new procedural level generation system that lets me place obstacles, rails, coins and other objects across huge spaces)
  • Mario Kart-style drifting, including a "drift blast" when you let go of the drift button (I'm biased but this is my favorite addition -- so much fun to drift and boost around these levels)
  • A new "Beat the clock" feature in every level that encourages you to go fast (by rewarding you with coins for getting to the goal more quickly).
  • Less float-y physics and less slippery handling
  • A second, advanced tutorial level to teach drifting, air banking and more
  • Better controls (including smooth left and right banking when you hold the L/R triggers -- this helps landing tricky jumps)
  • A few quality of life improvements for the streamers out there: volume controls and a windowed mode
  • Performance improvements, especially reductions in level loading time
  • Wider levels across the entire game: More space to drift, and less chances to fall to your death ☠️

The Infinity Girl #IndieRacers Special Edition Demo is now live!

Hey everyone! I've been hard at work on a special edition of the Infinity Girl demo, and am excited to share it with you all. This is the culmination of tons of feedback from all the players and streamers to date, and there is A LOT of new content in this extended demo that I just released on Steam. Here are the biggest updates:


  • Much more variety in the procedural levels. This includes new level tiles like Risers, which send you and other obstacles flying upwards every 4 beats of music, as well as the infamous Danger Tubes™️. Also added more randomized elements throughout the level tiles -- every run will feel more unique now.
  • Made the controls/gameplay much more accessible by making Journey mode, a less intense playstyle that doesn't require as much rhythmic ability, the default mode of play for Infinity Girl. Rhythm mode is still available though!
  • There are now two unique worlds in the extended demo: The Joyride and The Challenger. Joyride features shorter, less intense levels with more lives. Challenger is a, um, more challenging set of levels meant to test your skills.
  • Even more grindrails!
  • Every run now features six levels instead of five.
  • Smashy goodness: you can now smash through obstacles with the brake blast.
  • Added a double jump ability!
  • Major performance optimizations
  • Full mouse and keyboard controls!
  • You now get tips and inspirational quotes every time you die (which is a lot, since its a roguelike and all lol)
  • Countless bug fixes and tweaks.

Infinity Girl: The Charged Update

Hey everybody! I just pushed a new demo build of Infinity Girl with a TON of big updates. I'm continuing to iterate on the alpha demo based on streamers' videos and other feedback. I'm basically treating it like a baby alpha version of the game as I tune the difficulty and the core loops of Infinity Girl.
Major updates in this version include:


  • The Right Shoulder button can now trigger secondary abilities! So now instead of losing your dash ability (Y button) you can purchase another power to suit your playstyle during each run. Which brings me to...
  • I added a few new roguelike abilities you can purchase at the end of levels, including:
  • Kinetic sloth: a secondary ability that makes everything go into slow motion for 4 bars
  • Mega dash: dash, but BIG
  • Slow blast: go into slow mo during brake blasts for extra precision during chaotic moments
  • Charge meter: If you stay on beat for sixteen beats, you get a charge to use your dash or second ability. By default, you can currently have up to four charges, which is very overpowered atm lol. This will probably turn into abilities in future builds, so enjoy the OP default build while it lasts 😄
  • Abilities/powers no longer duplicate, and now appear as fancy cards at the end of each level!
  • More Grind rails! I already had them in the 4th level, and now they will frequently appear on levels 1 and 3 as well. This makes the first few levels even faster and more fun.
  • Lots of adjustments to the difficulty, includes less obstacles, more plentiful lives (you get a bonus life every 25 coins now), more coins, fewer tricky jumps and a roguelite perma-upgrade path to get more starting lives more quickly across multiple runs.

Infinity Girl is a high-speed rhythm/roguelike where everything — every action, every enemy and every world you encounter — is driven by the beat of the music. Each run is unique, with procedural levels that test your skills as you grind, drift, boost and leap to the rhythm. Get into a flow and blast through levels at incredible speeds, gaining game-changing abilities along the way.

Note: this is a pre-alpha demo! You'll have a good time (but might come across a few bugs). Lots of polish, optimizations, sound effects, new enemies/obstacles, abilities, levels and so much more are in the works. I'm releasing this to get early feedback from the community as I work towards a proper alpha version. This demo has five levels, all procedurally generated so each run is unique. The final game will have around 16 levels in each run across multiple different worlds, with a roguelite permanent progression system, procedural music and a mind-bending story that reveals itself over many runs.
